Asmita Sood is very excited to be a part of the TV industry courtesy lead role in the Star Plus youth show Budtameez Dil. " I love this medium, over time we become very confident in front of the camera. The only flip side is the long shooting hours; we don't get time for anything else."
Talking about her character Asmita says , There is a reason behind why Meher is a bit akdoo, something had happened in her past. We are now shooting the down memory lane scenes where you will understand why ." Life has also taught Asmita a lot," at first I was very reserved ,but coming to Mumbai and Delhi opened me up completely . Meeting some many different folks has made a chatter box." Says this Shimla born gal.
Talking about the show plot Asmita says ," in attempt to get the elusive eye balls we have introduced the family angle a bit. This was needed for the 8.30 pm time slot is family audience viewing time and we are facing stiff competition in the form of Jamai Raja( Zee TV) and Udaan( Colors) who already have their set audience base. Had our time slot been different( say 10- 10.30) we would have surely rocked the ratings charts. Having said that I wish to assure our fans that that emphasis of the story will remain music and the love story of Abeer( Pearl Puri) and Meher."
When asked about rumours flying around linking her to co- star Pearl,? she laughed it aside saying ," if the lead's of any show forget our are single, people are bound to link them up . Pearl is a decent guy and we are friend's. Infact I help him around as I am senior in the trade compared to him."
In closing Asmita requests fans to watch the show at the original time slot of 8.30 pm and not on repeat slots or on Youtube,as it does not count on TRP sweepstakes ." Here she further informs us that her show is the second most watched show on Hotstar after Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, " but at the moment we need TVR, digital is very good space to be in, but it is a medium of the future! We all are working hard to give you a good entertainment, just need some support ."
