"Agar for a change life mein kuch karna chaho toh office aa Jana..."
Kuber said looking at abeer with a sharp gaze.
Abeer ignored him and sat down for breakfast.
"Mom breakfast please..." abeer called for madhvi.
"Bas yahi hoti hai life... Hey bhagwan agle janam mein mujhe Abeer Malhotra bana dena please... Main bhi toh dekhun kitna maza aata hoga aise velle baith kar khana thoos ne mein..." Kuber said and looked up at the ceiling.
If it wasn't "Insult Abeer" session going on, Abeer would have laughed at that statement. So he made a expressionless face and looked at his empty plate.
"Dad here is your green tea... And these are your medicines...".
Abeer looked up at the owner of that voice. His beautiful wife. His Meher. She smiled at him and went back into the kitchen.
"I wonder Abeer how did you get that lucky... I really like her..."
"Because she is my choice... I liked her... Loved her and married her... Don't forget I proposed to her three times, after she said yes..." Abeer wanted to say this but settled with "glad... At least you like someone...".
"Abeer... Breakfast..." Meher offered abeer his breakfast with a smile on her face. She used to smile more often now.
"Meher... It is your responsibility to knock some sense into your husband... Make him join office soon..." Kuber told meher, getting up from the breakfast table.
"Sure dad... You had your medicines na..."
"Yes yes..." replied kuber with a SMILE.
"So the ATM does know how to smile...!!!" Abeer remarked as kuber left.
"Abeeerrr" meher looked at abeer raising one of eye brow for saying that.
"What...?? You like him because he likes you..."
"That's because he is right when he wants you to be responsible and above all he is your father..." Meher replied.
"Did you by any chance join his brigade...??? Kaala jaadu kar diya hai meri biwi pe..." Abeer asked out of curiosity.
"No... I'm in your team my dear husband... For always...!!!" Meher replied.
Abeer pulled her and made her sit on his lap. His arms protective wrapped around her waist. Meher, now used to all the besharmi of her husband, smiled at him and flung her arms around his neck. Abeer pulled her close and meher looked at him with all the love she feels for him.
"Get a room you two..."
Meher immediately got up from his lap and abeer disappointedly looked at the owner of the voice.
"Actually... Something got into his eyes..." Meher said.
"Yeah... Must be a love bug..."
"Sasha tereko koi kaam dhanda nahi hai kya..." Abeer asked with irritation. Sasha just spoiled their 'romantic' moment.
"Tujhko toh bahut kaam hai na... Bechara... Char din pehle hi toh honeymoon se wapas aaya hai..." Sasha remarked.
Meher blushed thinking about honeymoon.
"Tu bhi chal leti... Jal kyun rahi hai...?? Jealous..." Abeer replied.
"Jealous my foot... Isn't she enough for you...?? That now you want me as well..." Sasha asked and winked at abeer.
"Hawww... Abeer ka woh matlab nahi tha..." Meher said trying to clear the air.
Listening to meher, abeer and Sasha couldn't help but laugh. Their laughed till their stomach hurted. Meher made a face and abeer stopped laughing.
"Meher what Sasha meant was -" abeer started but meher stopped him.
"I got it" she said and walked back into the kitchen.
Sasha looked at abeer with a "u r gone" look and chuckled.
"Abeeerrr..."
Madhvi came out of the kitchen and looked at abeer furiously.
"What...?? I didn't do anything... Trust me..." Abeer said in his defence.
"Then why does meher looks sad...??"
"She did it... She said something nasty..." Abeer blamed Sasha and turned to his now not so hot breakfast.
"Bilkul thanda... Chiii... Koi meri coffee toh le aao..." Abeer said.
Meher came and joined them at the breakfast table with a mug of hot coffee.
"Thank you baby" Abeer said and forwarded his hand to take the mug from meher.
Meher shifted to the next chair and took a sip from the mug.
"That is my coffee... Go make your own..." She said looking at him from the corner of her eye.
Madhvi and Sasha giggled this time, Meher smirking and abeer gulping down his already cold breakfast.
"Hadd hai... Main jaa raha hoon..." Abeer said.
"Awara gardi karne..." Meher added.
"Dad ki chamchi kahin ki..." Abeer muttered and went to his room.
