Kay, I've got a question for all of you:

Opinions on the following directors, (I'll list some of their most popular work incase you don't know any of them by name). This is because I'm personally more pulled by the director's name than the actor.

Also rate please?

Ashutosh Gowarikar (Lagaan, Swades, Jodha Akbar)
Sanjay Leela Bhansali (Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Devdas, Black)
Sooraj Bhajatiya (Maine Pyaar Kiya, Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, Hum Saath Saath Hai, Vivah)
Karan Johar (I'm not bothering with this one 😆)
Rajkumar Hirani (Munnabhai Series, 3 Idiots, PK)
Ayan Mukherji (Wake Up Sid, Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani)
Kabir Khan (New York, Ek Tha Tiger, Bajrangi Bhaijaan)
and
Mohit Suri (A lot of the Bhatt movies/sequels, Aashiqui 2, Ek Villain, Humari Adhuri Kahani)

Take your time lol. Just wondering.

Also mine would be

1. Rajkumar Hirani (no brainer here, he gives me a pixar/toy story feel with each of his movies)
2. Ashutosh (forgetting his What's Your Rashee like it was a bad dream)
3. Sanjay Bhansali (His scale is epic, his storytelling occasionally falters but I personally really liked Guzaarish and Devdas of course)
4. Sooraj & KJo Tied (both their films have a strong connect to the common Indian, one is very homely and sanskari while one has a more urban and today feel to it, but both have created classics that as much as we deny, we still sit at home and watch (and cry to))
5. Ayan Mukherji & Kabir Khan (They have their flaws but they are still very ernest directors to me)
6. Mohit Suri (As much as I LOVED Aashiqui 2, I wasn't really impressed. You know when you like something because you just like it, not necessarily because it's very well done. I feel like he tries, but his attempts sort of always end up half-baked)

Not forgetting Mohit Suri and Sanjay mostly killing their own leads!

But here's my rating:
  • Ashutosh
  • Sooraj
  • Rajkumar Hirani
  • Kabir Khan
  • Ayan
  • Sanjay
  • Karan
  • Mohit
But I want to revise this rating after I watch all the films 🤔

I see. Have you seen all Rajkumar Hirani?

ALSO @all, Kamino, none of you gave an opinion 😆
