I hate parents who have such mentality "abhi tou ye bacha hai" um NO..he's YOUR bacha not a bacha to everyone else though. Sometimes i feel people are so dillusional. She said she's here to find a bahu..well someone plz explain to this lady that she will get her bahu when her son gets his 'wife'. Apni ma ke liye bahu laye ya apne liye biwi? So retarted..he's going to spend his life with the girl..she can advise him..she can't say o he's a bacha..he doesn't know who's right or wrong for him. Goshhh i hate hate hate parents like that..no wonder people just end up getting married without their parents consent or elope.

Well see, sometimes even the kids have to understand that they won't just stay with their spouse. Agar their spouse is not comfortable with the rest of the family, then again this person would be sandwiched between the spouse n parents.

U can strike a balance only when both the sides are ready to adopt to each other. Even the parents and the spouse have to come forward with open arms.

And for every mom, her kids are always small, even after they have grandchildren. So nothing wrong with that. But there is a way of expressing it, Mommy Y shouldn't have said it so bluntly. She could have explained much more softly.

I agree that both sides have to accept each other but in the end it's the couple who is spending the life together with each other. Yes the lady needs to learn to get her point across in a way that is not offensive to anyone. There's something called your child's happiness that she needs to take under consideration before making such harsh remarks.

True, and for that they actually need to sit down and talk. If both of them are adamant abt their choices then a solution can't be reached. The way Yash said, I won't get married.
