Sushant Singh Rajput has been invited by an institute in the US to talk about what led him to quit engineering to pursue acting
Not many know that Sushant Singh Rajput was pursuing mechanical engineering at a college in Delhi before he decided to follow his dreams, and shift to Mumbai for the same. While he started off with theatre, and followed it up with TV, his big Bollywood break came with Kai Po Che (2013). Since then, the actor has been part of films like Shuddh Desi Romance (2013), PK (2014) and Detective Byomkesh Bakshy. Now, the 29-year-old, who is currently working on a biopic on cricketer MS Dhoni, has been invited by the USC School of Dramatic Arts, Los Angeles, USA, for a talk on what led him to change his career.
A source close to the actor says, "The representatives of the institute feel that Sushant has successfully changed his professional trajectory, from engineering to acting, and has dabbled in different mediums " theatre, TV and films. They are convinced that he is the right person for this job."
Sushant will leave for the US on August 22 to be part of the three-day conference. His session is expected to be attended by almost 45,000 students.
Despite repeated attempts, the actor remained unavailable for a comment.
