This happened by default. The picture Ankita shared was huge. So when I was cloning it on another canvas, I was getting a huge version even though I originally wanted it to be small. Later I thought to use the bigger version as well. The pale one is cloning without resizing. To get the smaller version, I resized the picture to 250X250. I was not being able to resize it through Photoshop (I was not doing something right), so I used Pixlr Express instead.

Regarding the colouring...I didn't do anything like that nor do I know any of that stuff. Its simple use of clone tool with a selected opacity of 57 per cent.
