'I've seen every show on Byomkesh'

DASHING DETECTIVE

He conquered the hearts of the television audience through his role in Pavitra Rishta and took Bollywood by storm with his mesmerising performances in Kai Po Che! and Shuddh Desi Romance.

Now, the dashing Sushant Singh Rajput is all set to charm his fans with his portrayal of India's favourite detective in Detective Byomkesh Bakshi. "I have seen every TVshow and film made on Byomkesh Bakshi to get an idea of the character. This is a completely different film in respect. In this, he is just out of college and not aware that he is intelligent. This is his first case actually,"he gushes.

"But it's more than just solving the case. Deep inside, he is a loner seeking companionship," he adds. There were reports that the actor shares the longest kiss on screen in the movie with his co-star Swastika Mukherjee. "Yes, the story is true. Though I am always prepared for the role and react to all the improvisations my co-actors do, this was something I wasn't aware of. I was giving the same reaction that Byomkesh is supposed to give," he smiles. Being a telly heart-throb to a Bollywood charmer, Sushant has surely come a long way. But he admits that it was difficult getting used to stardom.

"It was a completely difference experience earlier and I wouldn't know how to react to stories about my personal life. But now, I am conditioned to it. I choose not to react. You have to keep your personal life out of everything and find a way not to get worked up,"he adds. Sushant will also be seen in Rajkumar Hirani's Peekay, Shekhar Kapoor's Paani and a biopic on MSDhoni. "I don't share the screen with Aamir in Peekay but I have met him.

I knew the kind of perfectionist that he is and the kind of work that Rajkumar Hirani has done and Iwas still surprised at the way they were so inquisitive. They are so passionate about their work and that keeps you going,"he says. Not revealing much about his characters in these films, he smiles, "The characters are completely different from each other. I had confidently chosen them but now I'm getting scared."He adds, "Sometimes,I get sleepless nights trying to crack them. Also, the filmmakers that I will be working with seek honesty and don't see how good or experienced you are."

Sushant also made his debut on Twitter recently. "I am not tech-savvy but I have an audience who watch my films. So it's a way to respond to them. Also, there are many stories written about you that aren't true. So it's also a way of clarifying everything,"he notes and adds, "I have always wanted to involve the audience in my characters and this could also be a way to involve them as well."

here extra is swastikas interview where she said it was her first day and didn't know anybody and coudnt speech hindi properly and Yash Raj production so she was under pressure. I like swastika bc she is beautiful and good actress.i think sush- swastika will look good together.can anyone say who will be with sush in Paani?
