So agreed with you Nura.. Balika Vadhu along with the entertainment is tackling other issues too .. Ekta should learn something from her.. and the other shows you mentioned too!
On one hand there are amazing shows going on like Tumhaari Paakhi, Yeh hai mohabbatein (I have heard its too good .. but I dont watch it nor I am gonna watch it in future as I know its an Ekta show) and on the other hand there's PR! In Tumhaari Paakhi the female lead's characterisation is so strong-independent, confident and smart who doesnt resorts to crying and sacrifice for every small thing.. unlike all PR ladies actually unlike many TV female leads!
It is clearly seen Ekta is no longer interested in PR then why to continue this? If you are doing do with you 100% or don't do ! Whats up with her doing half heartedly?

thanks Pallalvi
Lots of good posts here about how pathetic the whole show is...Even though the storyline ARVI had to endure was pathetic, and even with Arjun in a coma, it was still awesome to see Purvi pouring out her love for Arjun ... Asha's acting was outstanding. I would love to see the old Arjun come back one more time before they exit, and show his emotional face of love towards Purvi, and a few loving moments between them.

The Purvi/Pia scene was good. There was so much potential for good storylines...but..no one was interested in making it good. It would have been so nice to see Pari and Pia together..along with Arman. Wonder if they will enter in again.

...sigh.

I so totally agree with all the comments about how this subject of rape and it's victim is treated on PR and by Ekta,...beyond disgusting. Also the writers of the articles ABOUT PR: "Fun times will still be seen with Raunak partying for his birthday and the whole family joining in"...😡 (paraphrased)

What is this??? I sometimes feel that Ekta and CV's try to be as outrageous as they can, constantly testing the waters to see the reactions and get some kind of sick satisfaction to see how we all recoil in disgust. If it weren't such a serious subject it would be laughable, but it's a way too serious issue in India today, and totally irresponsible and crude how Ekta deals with it.

On the Ankita story, I didn't quite get today why Ankita demanded money from Sunanda. I mean it was obvious she was mocking her and didn't mean what it sounded like, but what was it's point??? I missed that one.

Ankita scenes today were kind of over the top exaggerated...contrived.. ..Sunanda is obnoxious and all that, but Ankita's ordering her out of the house...was...stupid. Also her dialog with Naren about never leaving him ...moving to the servant's quarters..etc. all that was contrived and rather dumb imo.

That whole story is a little corny.. 🤔 Somedays its ok, but often not.

ahh well. such is life. 😆

You're welcome, naava!
Corny! 😆Yes its corny, the whole Ankita-Naren-Sunanda situation yesterday was corny and OTT.

And a rapist having "Fun Times" celebrating his bday party after getting bail on rape charges...shows how mentally and morally sick the writers are! 🤢 Repulsive to say the least!

In that scene when Ankita asked Sunanda for money, she meant can u place a value on Naren's well-being? She meant that if she is paid for leaving the house, will it compensate the damage to Naren's psyche caused by her departure? Or something dramatic like that! 😆

Naren had transfered all his property to Ankita...not sure if he meant company shares or all property he owns, if the house belongs to Ankita now then she can throw Sunanda and company out of the house!
But Sunanda claimed before that all the house, company, property belongs to her...so theres great confusion abt who is the owner of Karmarkar House and fortune? Sunanda, Naren or Ankita? 😆
Major Confusion...

It would have been so nice to see Pari meet her father at last...Pia and Pari bonding, Purvi taking care of Arjun...but we cannot expect anything positive and decent from the CVs and Ekta!

Yeah, on one hand there are shows like Balika Vadhu that strikes the chord with the audience with various social messages they give-- starting from the child marriage and its long run ramification, to widow marriage, to eve teasing, to coming out of abusive marriage, to challenging the superstitions like calling woman a witch to name a few. The show has actually raised and handled these ills and the issues thereof so maturely and with lots of sensitivity. And the best part as you have highlighted is, the show doesn't just show the victim cowering and cutting a sorry figure-- but they fight for justice and get it ultimately. And along all these they have managed to retain the entertainment quotient as well.

Aside there are those wonderful reality shows like Crime Patrol and Savdhan India-- the shows those actually show a common man's struggle to get justice-- sometimes at the cost of going against big wigs of the society and the administration as a whole. But in the end, they do it , they fight even the most heinous crime. And here Ekta is glorifying RAPE--- a crime that befits death penalty. But as you have said, the predator smiles and smirks cause he is rich and the victim is always suffering. Pathetic...

Agree with Arohi and Shailee too... WHOLEHEARTEDLY..

Hats off to you Arohi for having mustered up the courage to watch the WHOLE episode..

Thanks Pallavi Di for the WU.

Youre welcome, Nura!
I agree, Crime Patrol and Savdhan India are 2 non fiction shows I love to watch nowadays! They present real life stories of crime, victims fighting back and ultimately getting justice! Its so uplifting to see justice being done, criminals and rapists punished!
After Delhi rape case, I dont know what kind of twisted mind would show such a disgusting track of a rapist enjoying his bday party, the victim insulted and maligned, the victim's sister being physically abused by her husband and thrown out of the house!
Truly appalling and abhorrent! 🤢

No no, Arohi, dont watch YHM...its an Ekta show and already getting disgusting!
Already the focus is on the horse faced villain who has not only cuckolded the male lead but also going out of his way to belittle and insult him...the only good thing abt the show is the loving bond between female lead and the little girl...her stepchild.
And No, Im not watching that show regularly, only caught a few episodes here and there...😆
