HI PR - fans,
I'm more of a silent observer on this forum but I just had to make a topic today. I do want to start by saying - I'm not trying to offend anyone or their sentiments with this post - this is merely expressing the thoughts that have come to my mind after reading today's episode (feb 5th 2014) written update. I don't plan on watching the episode now that I know what has happened.

First lets start with the positives:

Ankita didn't keep quiet - this was definitely a step in the right direction on her part as a sister. I have a few issues with Ankita's characterization but that's not the focus of this discussion. Today as a sister she stood up for Mansi and wasn't concerned about the repercussions.

Unfortunately that was the only good thing I found in today's episode.

Now moving onto the problems:

Ankita should have had a better thought out strategy:
I can understand that she's concerned for Mansi and wants to get Raunak punished for his crime. However Ankita is well acquainted with Raunak and his antics. She knows very well what kind of a slime ball he is and how low he can go (he doesn't really have a limit on how low he goes). In this instance flat out accusing him with out any kind of proof to back it up was just plain sillyness. Did Ankita really think the whole family would believe her?

Kinnari is just as big of a slimeball as Raunak - match made in heaven seriously. I don't get what logic she's using here - Raunak left her alone on their wedding night as he figured Kinnari wouldn't sleep with him and went and raped Mansi. Kinnari knows Raunak is a slimeball and he's been harrassing Mansi (Mansi proved it to her with the conference call). Why would her admitting she didn't want to/chose not to sleep with Raunak - be such a bad thing?! Raunak blackmailed her by saying she'd be put to shame if everyone found out they didn't spend the night together - maybe i missed something but that logic makes no sense - regardless of the rape situation. All she could do is say - she wanted to get to know Raunak a little better before jumping into bed with him or knowing his reputation she wants him checked for STDs before anything - make up any excuse! I'm pretty sure if a newly married wife (as awkward or embarrassing the conversation is) she can pull the sympathy card - my husband didn't spend the night with me and everyone would side with her. No one would think about her character at that point - everyone would just focus on her rights as a wife and Raunak's duties towards his wife as a husband.

Instead she chose to keep quiet - what good is that going to do? She thinks keeping quiet will allow her to do as she pleases - Raunak won't be able to stop her. Ok, accepted - however she was going to do as she pleases in either case so how does not speaking the truth help?

I think the worst part of today was Naren's reaction. I'm dumbfounded. I know he has some kind of trauma/shock which hasn't been resolved but regardless he's always been on Ankita/Ahana's side - supporting her regardless of the situation - his reaction today in my opinion was out of character. With the way Naren's character has been shown thus far I would have imagined him saying something like "how can this be?" or just stayed silent or even said "i'm not taking sides till we get to the bottom of this but why would Mansi lie?"

Maybe I am expecting a little more logic or consistency or coherence for a TV soap that too from Balaji... but I just couldn't stay quiet today.

All i know is the situation was not handled well by CVs - they could have done anything else than what was shown today and it probably would have been better. Too many inconsistencies regarding characterization, reaction to situations (by the respective characters), and over all tracks that CVs pick - its always giving mixed messages about the character.

Do share your thoughts guys

Nice analysis! :) I enjoyed reading it and agreed with your view points.
Mostly I agree about the Ankita thing. I applaud her for standing up for her sister like that, actually everyone would have been even more angry if she hadn't, and it's completely and totally justified that she did stand up for her sister, but like you said, she should know Raunak well enough by now to know that he is a good liar and that he can come up with an excuse at any given time.

As far as Kinnari goes, her character is really leaving me like this every time: 😲
And like you said, truly a match made in heaven! But I have to admit, Kinnari is coming out to be even more smarter in comparison to Raunak, with the video recording and the property sharing, well, we'll just have to wait and watch with her.

Again, like you said with Naren, I was most surprised by his reaction. At the very least, I would have expected him to basically say, "let's talk this out." rather than doing what he did. But now I want to see his reaction when he finds out that Ankita has been kicked out of the house!

Very nice analysis . You should do it more often ..
Ok, about todays show .
Positives .
Ankita not keeping this as a secret that Raunak raped Mansi .I think she wanted to as she promised Mansi but when she was told to do Raunaks pooja, then she just lost it ..and slapped him ( don't blame her one bit ) .
Ankita finding out about Kinris real nature .
Ankita not blaming Naren for pushing her so hard but trying to understand his condition and not keeping a grudge against him .
Pia trying to bring Arjun and Purvi together ...she is a sweet girl .
The precap was the best part of the show .I am keeping my fingers crossed that we will now get our old Soham back .I think this incident with Mansi will shake him up and he will become a better person .
Negatives ..
Naren not listening at all to Ankita , not trusting her and pushing her so bad in front of the whole family ...so much for all those promises of undying love and pyar ki kassams ...
Sunanda, Sirish and Rushali ( they all know very well what kind of a person Raunak is ) not listening to Ankita at all and point blank telling her that Mansi is lying ..
The two evil devils making a pact together ( Raunak and Kinri ) .
Throwing Ankita out on the streets that too at night . She is walking to her home all alone ...
Ankita should have collected some evidence or something .Her outburst put her in trouble and did not do much for Mansi .
Still Ankita has not called Shashank .he should be informed ASAP.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! It's certainly encouraging... I used to watch PR regularly at the beginning when the show started, but then the show's theme shifted and the tracks became more and more convoluted and inconsistent and I stopped watching... I started again when Ankita and Naren's story started.
I don't have any analysis/thoughts on the Arjun/Ovi/Purvi parts - I haven't followed their story so don't want to comment on those - i have an idea of what happened based on posts made by other members.

Thanks!

gud ananlysis..
ankita: instead of telling to attu, rushali etc she shud have gone to the police and complained abt raunak.. let the police investigate the case and the court decide who is lying and who is telling the truth. how cud she even expect that raunak will tell the truth and his family will believe her..
also she shud not have hid it from shashank.

kinnari: being a woman . she is a kalank on them... she just wanted an edge over raunak and wanted his property and wanted to dominate him...
may be later she will have a change of heart.. hoping her conscious will prick her.. or maybe raunak will realise that he loves mansi and may own up the truth... i know its too impossible but still hoping...

pia: she is such a wonderful soul...

naren : he shouted at ankita and pushed her bcz he was out of his senses. he is so innocent and bhola that he think the whole world is like that only. so when his love ahana put blame on his brother he cudnt believe it... of course he later repented and regretted his action and immediately called ankita and asked for forgiveness.

Ankita: I'm glad she fought back even though she handled things poorly, she acted on impulse which is completely understandable given the situation. Ankita did the right thing by exposing Rauank's true colors and its probably a good thing that she is not in that home anymore.

Naren: I don't think he knows why Raunak was fired from his job, if he knows then maybe his opinion will change. For the time being I'm giving his character the benefit of doubt

Kinnari: She turned out to be worse than Raunak. I thought she was showing humanity when she slapped him that day but it was not for Mansi, it was because he ditched her for another woman. I've seen selfish people but Kinnari takes the cake and I really hope she is punished for this.

Soham: There's hope yet for him! The precap by far was the best part of this episode, I loved seeing him beat up Raunak for daring to touch his daughter, now this is the Soham I used to love watching and it looks like CVs are finally redeeming him.
