Pavitra Rishta Written Update 16th December 2013

Mansi and Prashant are outside the house in a taxi at night, its raining heavily.

Mansi worries if Tayi found Jeeju or not, she asks Prashant if Tayi answered the phone yet? He says No, shes tense why Tayi is not taking their calls. She wants to go inside the house and see if Naren was found. Prashant refuses, tells her to go in, he will wait for her in the taxi.

Mansi asks why he wont go in, he says he doesn't even want to see people who had deceived them. He would remember the wedding day and get upset.

Mansi tells him if Tayi finds out he had come to her sasural and didn't even enter, she would feel so bad!

Prashant says Tayi will feel even worse if he doesn't talk to her in laws properly.

Mansi gives up and leaves, telling him to wait for her in the taxi.

Mansi goes inside the mansion and is standing there all drenched, waiting for someone to come out. Raunak comes there, with a towel wrapped around him. He looks at her and wonders, Ankita's sister is here and that too all drenched?

He goes up to her and asks, Mansi, Ankita's sister, right?

Mansi is startled to see him, she says shes there to meet her sister.

Raunak tells her he knows shes come to see her sister but why doesn't she take a seat? Shes so wet, she must be feeling cold, he will get some tea or coffee for her.

Mansi refuses and asks him to just call Tayi but he tells her again to have a seat. Shes his guest and shd give him a chance to be a good host.

Mansi tells him actually shes very worried abt Tayi and Jeeju as they went to the temple and then...

Raunak interrupts her, and he disappeared from the temple, right?

Mansi says Tayi came here to talk to Rushali Ma'am and shes not answering our calls, so I have come to see Tayi, please call her...

Raunak says, leave all that, Mansi, look at yourself, ur all drenched! Here take this!

He gives his towel to Mansi and tells her to dry herself but she refuses politely and asks him again to call Tayi.

Raunak grabs her shoulder and tells her to relax and be comfortable and he will go and call her Tayi...

He calls a servant and tells him to make hot tea for Mansi, she says she doesn't want any tea, she only wants him to get Tayi

Raunak tells the servant to call Ankita, Sorry Ahana Vahini, and to tell her that her sister is here. The servant leaves.

Raunak grabs Mansi's arm again and asks, why are u getting so nervous? Im not a stranger to you! Im also your relative, your sister's brother-in-law!

Mansi is feeling uncomfortable.

Naren and Ankita are in their bedroom upstairs, Naren is sitting on the bed, Ankita goes near the window and calls Prashant who answers her call from the taxi.

He asks her where is she and they have been waiting for her for a long time! Ankita tells him she knows, she saw his missed calls. Shes sorry she couldn't call him back as something was going on but yes, Naren Sir has been found and hes alright and not to worry.

Prashant says that is very good, they were worried so they came to her house.

Ankita is surprised, she asks, you are here? He tells her yes, Mansi went inside.

Ankita wonders, Mansi came her and nobody called me downstairs? Where are you?

Prashant tells her hes outside in the taxi. She asks him why is he outside, why doesn't he come in? he says hes alright, he wont go in.

Ankita asks, u came here and u wont come in to meet me? He tells her if he goes inside, then she might get in trouble with her in-laws!

He tells her to send Manu outside as the taxi is waiting. Ankita tries to reason with him but he disconnects the call.

Ankita goes to the staircase and sees Raunak with Mansi downstairs in the hall, hes holding her arms, telling her to relax and saying this is new to her but she will get used to it as she comes there more often, then their relationship will grow.

Ankita is mad to see Raunak hitting on Mansi, she calls Mansi sharply from upstairs. Raunak lets go of Mansi, she looks up.

Mansi comes forward and looks up, says, Tayi! Ankita comes down the stairs quickly.

Mansi tells her she and Prashant have been trying to reach her. Ankita pulls her away from Raunak and tells her she knows, she just spoke with Prashaant.

Mansi asks abt Jeeju, Ankita tells her hes alright, hes upstairs. She tells Mansi to leave and they will talk later.

Mansi is leaving, Raunak tells her to stop and wait and he will drop her. Its so late at night and its raining also so its not safe for her.

Ankita stops Raunak in a sarcastic tone, One second, theres no need, Thank you so much! My brother is here, waiting in a taxi, you don't have to take so much trouble, she can go herself.

Mansi leaves, Raunak calls out after her, Bye Mansi, see you soon! He blows her a kiss.

Ankita berates him, what kind of misbehavior is this? Raunak acts innocent, What misbehavior?

Ankita says, what u did just now!

Rauank smiles nastily, Your sister came here, I was just taking care of her! If I didn't do that u would say I didn't entertain her!

Ankita tells him firmly, Listen to me carefully, Mr. Raunak Karmarkar! Don't even look at my sister, understood?

Raunak smirks, So good! That u know all my intentions! Then u must know I am always interested in beautiful things! And whenever I see a beautiful thing I cannot control myself! And as far as relations are concerned, its only because of those relations that I just let go of that flower after praising her, otherwise if I had taken that flower to my room, then...

Ankita blasts him, You will get one slap! Do u remember u got a slap before?

Raunak tries to touch her raised hand, she moves it back. She warns him, Im telling u, Raunak! Don't cross your limits! Stay within ur limits! You don't know what I can do!

He taunts her, what will u do? What will u do? Tell me, u will complain to Mom, right? And like Mom had kicked me out of the office, she will throw me out of the house too?

Raunak says, The Great Bahu! Youre so innocent u know!

He tries to touch her shoulders, she jerks his hands off! He says, youre so nave, don't live in the illusion that Mom will throw me out of the house! They threw me out of the office as they had no other choice but they cannot evict me from the house. They only have one normal son, because the other son, I mean ur husband, he is...

SHUT UP! Ankita warns him, Shut Up!

Raunak taunts her, why are u stopping? Go complain! Go naa...go get me thrown out of the house!

Ankita turns to go upstairs, he says, Shall I say something? She turns and looks at him, he says, You look so beautiful when ur angry! Youre so beautiful!

Ankita gets mad, Enough! Stop misbehaving with women! Control ur disgusting behavior! Otherwise I don't care if anyone else is supporting you but I will stand up against you! Understood?

Raunak seems excited, Ufff! Such cute fights between Bhabhi and brother in law! Im loving it u know! Now free entertainment everyday at our house! Everyday!

He blows her a kiss too, ankita makes a disgusted face and marches upstairs angrily.

Ankita goes up to the bedroom and sits on the bed. Shes very upset and suddenly starts crying and yelling at Naren, What is this? What are u doing?

He says, Im making a house! (of cards)

She cries, Naren Sir, why didn't u think even once before leaving me alone in the temple? U didn't think even once how and where I would go search for you and u just came here? What do u think, Naren Sir that the whole world revolves around you? That is not right! What do u think of urself? Who do u think u are?

She pushes him angrily, he replies with a puzzled face, Naren Karmarkar.

Ankita cries and says, Mr. Naren Karmarkar, this is not a game! My life and my siblings' future are joined to you now! You cannot be so careless! You just left me there, u didn't think of me, leave me, u didn't even think abt ur mom dad? They scolded me so much, do u know that? Because u got lost! I searched for u everywhere, inside, outside the temple! Everywhere but I didn't find u anywhere! How can u do like this? Ur mom dad called the police, what would I tell them, where did Sir go? And you? U just came back and acted normally as if nothing happened? What kind of behavior is this? And now ur just making card houses?

She smashes the card house with a swipe of her hand.

Naren gets upset, You broke my house?

Ankita pushes him, Why am I trying to explain to you! I forgot that u don't understand anything at all! You are CRAZY!

Naren looks at her in shock! She also realizes what she said and stops her outburst!

Naren says, Im crazy! Yes, ur right! Till now all others said, now my Ahana is also calling me crazy!

Ankita cries, Sir, I said it by mistake. I didn't intend to but don't know what came over me! Im taking out my anger for someone else on you!

Naren says, No Ahana, if u are saying then I must be crazy! No no Im serious! I am mad! Till now I didn't admit, I thought others are mad, but if I hurt you, then I...

Ankita gets up from the bed, shes sobbing. She sits on the floor, hides her face in her knees and sobs. Naren goes and sits next to each other. Ankita apologizes to him tearfully, he says hes sorry too! He begs her not to cry and wipes her tears.

Ankita sobs and says, shes sorry and she was just taking out her anger on him!

Naren says, please don't cry, I don't feel good at all when u cry!

He lies down on her lap like a child, and tells her she can scold him anytime, she can take out her frustrations and anger on him, she can hit him, call him crazy or anything else! He likes it, one can only share feelings with those near and dear. If she didn't do that with him, then with whom will she share?

He says, I love you! I really do! ...she looks down at him, he holds her hands and caressed her cheeks, he plays with her hand and bangles.

Naren holds her hand securely under his cheek and settles down on her lap to take a nap, she looks helplessly at him and cries.

At a Department Store

Arjun and Ovi are shopping. Ovi shows a cloth to Arjun and asks how it is. He says he doesn't know Pia's choice so hes not sure. Does she think Pia will like it?

Ovi says yes she wil like it but the color is a bit dull. Actually she likes bright colors more!

Arjun says, then they shd look at bright colors. He asks the salesman to show some more. The salesman tells them to go upstairs where there is a bigger collection.

As Arjun and Ovi go upstairs, Purvi enters the store. Salesgirl asks her if she needs help, Purvi tells her shes looking for Anarkali suits for her daughter.

Salesgirl says there are lots of patterns for anarkali suits! She asks Purvi how old her daughter is...

Purvi says, Shes 20 yrs old. Salesgirl says, you don't look like u have a 20 yr old daughter!

Purvi smiles and thanks her. Salesgirl takes her upstairs to show anarkali suits. Arjun and Ovi are going around the anarkali display. Salesgirl shows her a whole row of anarkali suits, says, Look here, Ma'am this is all our collections!

Purvi is looking on one side of the display, Arjun and Ovi are looking on the other side.

The salesman on the other side take Arjun and Ovi to a counter to show them new designs. Ovi looks emotionally at Arjun, he asks her whats the matter? What was she thinking?

Ovi says, she really wants he would be happy! Your happiness is very important to me!

Arjun says, Im trying to find reasons to be happy! From when I learned the truth abt myself, I cant find any reason to be happy! I had one reason but I threw even her out of my life! Whenever I think abt my illness, I feel helpless all the time!

Ovi says, Arjun, why are u thinking abt all this? I brought u here to freshen ur mood, don't think abt all that now...

Arjun says No no, its my fault! We wont talk abt all that now, let us look for more clothes..

Arjun gets up and looks at some suits hanging near the wall, Ovi goes and shows him some suit, asks him if its nice. Purvi is on the other side still looking at the hanging suits, she moves some suits and Ovi sees her there.

Ovi gets tense at once and she acts all chirpy with Arjun. Purvi sees her and Arjun too and observes them. Ovi takes out a western dress and asks Arjun loudly how it is. Arjun frowns and says, But we are looking for Indian dresses for Pia naa?

Ovi says, Not for Pia but for me! How will this look on me? It will look very nice on me, naa? And black is ur favorite color, right?

Arjun is perplexed at her sudden change, she touches Arjun's face and loudly says, Arjun I was thinking if I wear this for dinner, how would I look?

Arjun frowns and moves away mumbling, Ovi you...I don't know what youre..

Purvi watches them tearfully and remembers old times.

Flashback: Arjun and Purvi are shopping for clothes. Purvi has 2 dresses in her hands and is asking Arjun which one she shd buy? Arjun says, don't ask me, look don't bring me for this kind of work, ur looking very nice in both so buy both of them!

He holds her face and squeezes her cheeks. She pretends to get mad at him, Youre so cunning naa? You must have been telling all ur previous girlfriends too, You look good in all dresses! And ur telling me the same now!

Arjun puts his hands on his waist and mock-fights with her, What do u mean by cunning? Do I seem cunning to you? Ms Purvi Deshmukh, I have only one girlfriend and that's you! Do u want me to make more girlfriends? No naa?

Purvi shakes her head and smiles. Arjun tells her, Then keep both dresses, please! Don't ask me, now lets go!

Flashback ends, Purvi looks sad.

Arjun looks back and sees Purvi behind the clothes rack.

Ovi asks Arjun, Should I try this dress?

Arjun tries to sound cheerful, Yes go ahead, try it! Actually I was thinking, the dress I brought for you from UK, wear that, its better!

Ovi says, But look Arjun, this is so nice!

Arjun tells her, yes, this is nice too, u buy this too! Everything looks good on you!

Ovi goes to try out the dress. Arjun looks apprehensive.

Purvi goes ahead and thinks, this is probably the right chance to talk to Arjun. But before she can talk, Ovi comes out wearing the short black dress and asks Arjun, how do I look?

Arjun takes Ovi to the mirror, holds her arms and smiles at her, See ur looking so gorgeous! So many people must be getting jealous looking at you, do u know?

Ovi asks, Why?

Arjun smiles and says, Because ur looking beautiful!

Ovi says she will go and change but Arjun says she can go home wearing that. Ovi asks, wearing this? Arjun tells her shes looking very nice! He asks the salesman to make a bill for whatever clothes Ovi bought. And she will wear this new dress to go.

The salesman smiles and tells Ovi, Ma'am ur so lucky that u got such a loving husband!

Ovi and Arjun smile and thank the salesgirl. Purvi looks very sad and dejected.

Ankita's house

Shashank is there, he says sorry to Prashant that he was busy at work so he couldn't help him with the math problem, so did Prashant manage to solve it or not?

Mansi brings water for Shashank.

Prashant says, Yes it was solved. Mansi interrupts, Actually Naren Jeeju solved that problem. Hes a genius!

Pranav yells, Tayi, Dada, look at this, what came for us!

Two delivery guys carry in a couch and set it down in the living room. Prashant asks what is this? The 2 guys say this is your couch! Prashant asks who bought this?

Mansi asks Soham if he ordered the couch? What was the need to order such an expensive couch?

Prashant asks, where did u get so much money, Baba?

Soham yells, No I didn't order the couch! Prashant asks then who ordered this? Soham says we must have won it in some lottery! Its very good, very nice!

Prashant asks the delivery guys to take the couch back, they don't need it!

The guys say they cant take it back, Naren Sir has sent this!

All of them get shocked! Prashant tells the guy to tell Mr. Naren that they don't want a couch!

Pranav gets up on the couch and starts jumping up and down. Soham tells the delivery guys, don't listen to him, this is very good couch. Tell Naren many thanks from us!

Prasshant still tells the guys to take the couch but Soham sends them out.

Prashant angrily tells Soham, Baba, we don't need anyone's favors! If we need, we will buy ourselves!

Soham says, where do we have the money to buy?

Shashank tells Soham, you don't understand! These rich people keep on pulling tricks like this, first they do favors and then later they..

Soham laughs at Shashank: Hey Useless talker! You look at urself, forget abt others! If u had married Ankita would u have been able to buy these things for us? He doesn't have the means...and hes talking!

Shashank feels insulted and he leaves, Mansi calls his name but he doesn't stop.

At Naren's house:

Naren is lying face downward on the bed and reading something with pen in hand. Raunak comes and lies down beside him, he asks, Bro, since u got married u don't spend any time with ur brother! Whats the matter?

Naren says, Yes, I had gone to Ahana's house, for pag pheri ritual. I had a lot of fun, I didn't miss anyone!

Raunak smirks, I know, why will u miss anyone? When Ahana is with you, then u wont be missing anyone else. Anyway how was ur chawl experience?

Naren sits up excitedly and says, I had lots of fun! I did everything that I had never done before in my life! Do u know I slept on the floor!

Raunak says, What? Naren tells him, that is nothing, I caught a live thief, he had come to steal sugar. I was going to call the police but Ahana felt sorry for him so she let him go. He was a neighbor so she forgave him. I filled buckets of water from corporation tap and I taught everyone how to fill water too! I flew kites with the kids, u know Sonu and Pranav. I did kite flying with them, the kite got stuck, I rescued it too. Kite was a little torn. Also that Prashant he couldn't solve an algebra problem so I solved it just like that!

And Mansi? Raunak asked with unholy interest. I mean u didn't do anything with her?

Naren looks a bit surprised, then says, Mansi is also very sweet! She was using old fashioned phone so I gave her my phone!

Raunak says, That's great! Then u must be having her number too?

Naren tells Mansi's number at once, Raunak memorizes it. Naren says, do u know Ahana made such a delicious Lauki curry that I felt like I could go on eating that!

Raunak asks, there also Ahana was cooking? Didn't Mansi make anything? Naren tries to remember, Raunak asks, did u even taste food cooked by ur sister in law?

Naren shrugs, Im sure she cooks good but she wont be as good as Ahana!

Raunak tells him, u will eat Ahana's cooking everyday but sister in law's cooking is something else! Yes seriously! You can only taste ur SIL's cooking once in a while that's why its even more tasty!

Naren denies, No no are u saying that Mansi makes better food than Ahana?

Raunak says, Why not? Naren says, I don't think so...let me do something, I will call her and

Raunak stops Naren from calling and says, Lets keep it a secret. Let us go to ahana's house and then we will tell Mansi to make food for us! Lets see how she cooks?

Naren says, Oh u mean like a surprise test? Like we had in school? Raunak says, Yes!

Naren excitedly plans, we wont tell them in advance, then we will see who makes better food! If Ahana cooks better then I win, and if Mansi is better tehn u win.

Raunak says, That's great! But wait, Ahana wont agree to this! I know she wont agree...

Naren asks, why wont she agree? Im telling u it's a done deal! Ahana will agree to what I tell her, don't worry!

Raunak says, Okay then its final!

Naren leaves, Raunak gives an evil smirk.
