So happy that Forbes listed Sushant and Rajkumar as the young achievers . Both of them do not have big God fathers or rich and influential filmi families behind them .Whatever they have achieved is on the basis of hard work and talent ...👏

Hasee Toh Phasee Weekend Business:: RoughEstimates

Weekend numbers are good keeping opening day in mind but much lower than expectations. Movie was expected to put atleast numbersequal to Shuddh Desi Romance but it fell around 20-22% short. Movie must sustain well over the Weekdays to go past 25cr mark Week One.

And Sushant still remains in the lead 😈😆😉

I am genuinely surprised by the outcome of HTP, also considering this is Valentine week and rom-coms are a perfect outing for couples. Dharma had started promotions for HTP even before YRF had begun promotions for SDR. I remember few days after HTP was announced, there were pictures of Siddharth and Parineeti in Bombay Times and Stardust. Maine toh socha tha blockbuster ho jaayegi. And I will confess...I had really thought Siddharth is very popular among the masses. The way people gushed about him on BS and various social networking sites, mujhe toh laga badi fan following hai ek hi picture se. Nothing against Sid, but I am happy to know that Sushant has a good audience base and that he can pull a decent crowd to the theatres. I hope DBB is even bigger success than SDR and KPC together.

Pari and sid were on filmfare together and then they each were on vogue and GQ and then all those college city tours and interviews for 22 days! i also thought it would be a big hit! Sid'd looks have gotten him the fangirl teenager category of fans. Guess those fans don't help much when it comes to box office success.

SDR's promotions were so low key compared to HTP and thats what made me feel even bettter when i heard HTP hadn't opened well (sorry if that sounds mean but its true!)

I have more confidence that DBB will do well now because sushant seems to have a good number have fans an audience out there who want to see his films 👍🏼

At the risk of sounding like a pompous fangirl, I want to add something:

HTP first weekend collection- estimated to be around 17 crores.
KPC first weekend collection- estimated to be 18 crores

KPC, a film with rank newcomers and someone like RKY who didn't have a fan following or was popular. It scored almost equal or more than HTP. How come?

Go figure! ;-)
