Pavitra Rishta Written Update 29th October 2013
Episode begins at Ankita's home, Prashant and the kids are cleaning the house for the guests' arrival. Pranav dusts the TV and says he can see his own reflection in it.
Prashant says hes made it sparkling, Pranav asks if theres something else to clean, his Dada says its enough for today.
Mansi is making fragrant pohey in the kitchen, she smells it and looks happy.
Sonu tells Pranav food smells so good, right? He agrees. Mansi calls Prashant to come and taste the poha how it is...hes going to do that but just then Shashank calls him, asking if he has talked to Ankita, he cannot get her on the phone.
Prashant tells him he hasn't talked to Ankita either and she must be on the train so signal is not there. He asks him not to worry, Anki will come on time.
Shashank agrees and tells they are coming soon. He stops an auto and calls his parents to come down quickly, Ankita will be coming home soon.
Prashant goes to kitchen and tells Mansi that Shashank will be arriving soon with his parents, she looks happy to hear that.
He tastes the poha and says its great! He cannot believe she could make such good pohey. Mansi asks why not? He says shes always busy with her books so this wok and strainer don't suit in her hands.
He tells her shes made the pohey just like Tayi...she tells him shes learned it from Tayi only.
Prashant tells her Tayi would never let her cook but she says when she used to study she also watched Tayi and learned all this. Prashant praises her cooking.
Sonu and Pranav are playing Pat-a-cake on the sofa, Soham comes in completely drunk and yells at them.
Prashant and Mansi get nervous to see him home. Soham yells, whats cooking there, bring it to me!
Prashant tells Mansi, how did HE come home at this time, hes usually at the bar at this hour, we have to get him out of here! Shashank will be here any moment with his parents. If they see this drunkard here, all our reputation will go down the drain.
Soham sprawls drunkenly on the sofa and calls Pranav Beta to bring him the food from the kitchen. Sonu peeps at Soham from behind a curtain.
Mansi asks Prashant to do something. Soham says he can smell poha, that will go great with the liquor in his hand. Today he will enjoy...he calls Pranav again to bring a glass, who brings it quietly. Soham gleefully pours alcohol from his bottle into the glass.
Prashant tells Mansi to hide all the food, otherwise Soham will eat everything. He goes out to Soham and asks him how did he return home so early today? He earned 2000 rupees today, then why isn't he treating his friends at the bar?
Soham asks Prashant if hes taunting him? Does he think Soham will be ashamed? This is his earning so he will spend it the way he likes. First he will eat poha then he will leave. He calls Pranav to bring poha for him.
Prashant sits down beside his father and says are u new to this house? You know how poor we are naa...how will we have such good food in our house?
Soham laughs mockingly and asks from where the smell was coming then?
Pranav comes and tells Soham that the smell was coming from neighbouring Auntie's house, shes always making some good food.
Soham is very annoyed to hear that, he pours back the liquor from glass to bottle.
Prashant gives him a 100 rupee note and tells him to go out and eat poha. Soham gets suspicious, asks him you never gave me any money before then whats so special today?
Prashant takes back the note saying okay, if u don't want it then ...
Soham grabs him and gets the money back. Hes very happy with the money, thanks God for giving it, he says first 2000 rupees for doing nothing and now 100 rupees for free...he tells the kids to satisfy their hunger with the aroma from neighbours house, hes going to celebrate today! Soham leaves the house swaying drunkenly.
Mansi is angry at Prashant that why did he give his hard earned money to father, and that too 100 rupees? It could have paid for 10 days bus fares for him...
Prashant explains to her that it was necessary to make Soham leave the house, now with the money he has, he wont return for another 3-4 hrs! By then they could take good care of Shashank and his parents, his parents are coming here for first time so this visit shd be memorable for them.
Mansi smiles self consciously.

Arjun's office
Hes walking along when Rushali stops him and tells him Naren is back.
Arjun says of course he knows that, he heard.
Rushali tells him Naren would need a helping hand with the project files, keeping records, attending phone calls, scheduling meetings, etc. Who will manage all this?
Arjun says, how about my PA, shes joined recently...
Rushali asks whom are u talking about?
Arjun tells her the same girl whom Raunak had fired...
Flashback : Rushali remembers Arjun had introduced Ankita to Rushali as the girl whom Raunak had fired... and he was telling Anki Rushali is the co-owner of the company.
Rushali had welcomed Ankita then.
FB ends, Arjun tells Rushali that Ankita is really good, he calls the peon Ramesh and asks him to call Ankita Mhatre.
Peon says she has left already. Arjun tells peon to hurry and bring her back, she couldn't have gone far. Peon runs.
Arjun tells Rushali Ankita is really good and she can adapt to Naren's working style. Rushali says lets see...
Ankita is outside getting wet in the rain. Her sandals break, she takes it off and grumbles abt it and wonders how she will get home in that downpour, she wil get drenched by the time she gets home.
She wonders who that guy was that she saw, then says why shd she bother, she only cares abt getting home! Why wasn't the bus coming? Maybe she shd get a taxi instead. But how would she spend so much money? She will manage somehow...but why wasn't any taxi coming?
She sees a taxi and tries to stop it but it passes her without stopping. She calls a 2nd taxi and it stops, shes just getting in when the peon comes running and stops her. He tells her Arjun Sir is calling her.
She asks why? Peon says how would he know? Hes the Boss and hes calling her...
Ankita says, but Dada, I ...but peon urges her to hurry back to office. Ankita looks up to the sky and yells, Who said unseasonal rain is good?
Ankita and the peon hurry back to the office sharing his umbrella.

Soham is at the bar, dancing with his drunk friends, while Fevicol song plays in the background.
A friend asks him, Arey Raghav, ur money is spent but u still didn't tell us the reason for this party?
Soham/ Raghav says he has earned 2000 rupees today!
He sits down at a table where a guy is reading a newspaper. He asks the guy why is he sitting there reading while a party was going on, he shd drink more..
The guy complains when he sees rich guy's wealth, he gets stomachache. Just look at this guy, what a luck he has!
The guy points to Arjun's photo in the newspaper. Look at his expensive clothes, posh car, suit boot, what doesn't he have? Its all in the papers...its written that at one time he was the son of a famous builder, and now he has established his own business empire, and he started many companies! This is how lucky one shd be!
Soham is staring intently at Arjun's photo
The guy continues his tirade, if we had a rich father like this guy had, then we wouldn't be living in a shack, but in a bungalow, then we wouldn't be drinking desi liquor in this bar but drinking imported liquor in a 5 star hotel!
Soham pushes the guy away and keeps on staring at Arjun's photo. The bar owner comes up to him and tells him to pay in full for the party he had today.
Soham pushes him off and grabs his collar, telling him he will pay the bill and to serve more alcohol.
Soham starts remembering his past, how he had kidnapped Gauri and ran off with her, with Archu yelling at him to let go of Gauri and police telling him to surrender. How he jumped into the river/lake with Gauri while his family and police ran after him!
Flashback: Soham is drunkenly walking along a railway bridge at night, hes crying and saying, why did u leave me, Gauri? I risked my whole life for you, you still left me? This is all because of that Manav Deshmukh! I will destroy his whole family!
Soham smashes his liquor bottle and yells angrily...he falls down on the ground, a woman comes running and helps him get up, expressing concern, asking whats happened to him? Where does he want to go?
The woman's face fades in front of his eyes.
FB ends, aged Soham is staring at the newspaper with angry eyes. He remembers himself as a young man drinking by the side of the road, lying on a divider, then walking along the road drunkenly.
Soham's first wife (the same girl who came to his help on the railway bridge) is telling him whats in the newspaper, that Mumbai's famous builder Manav Deshmukh, his son is missing with Manav's future daughter in law. They fell off a mountain, police is still searching for them.
She tells Soham, Look at them, their photo is here, just see he looks a lot like you!
Soham yells at her to stop her nonsense! He doesnt look at all like that!
He tells her to give him money, wheres the money in the house?
The wife says, she doesn't know...
Soham walking along the road, remembering his first wife on her deathbed, asking young Ankita to look after her brother and sister. Ankita promises her to look after them, she will never leave them! Will always be with them.
Young Prashant and Mansi are crying at the mother's bedside. Their dying mother tells Ankita she was helpless so she couldn't look after the kids, mother's sister is sitting at bedside and crying, saying, don't say that Tayi.
Dying mom tells Anki to tell the kids she loved them a lot! More than herself!
Soham comes in drunkenly sits on the bed, and tells his 1st wife she wont die, she will be alright, he wont let anything happen to her!
She says she doesn't have anymore time left nor money for treatment. She asks him to keep all his money aside for the kids' future. No use spending money on her treatment, if he wants to do something for her then he shd promise her that he wont drink from that day and he will take care of the kids!
She adds, And u will marry my sister Ratna...I have full faith that she will look after you and the kids!
Ratna cries that nothing will happen to you, Tayi...but the 1st wife holds her hand out to Soham begging him to promise her those things but he doesn't. She dies, all the kids and sister Ratna are crying. Soham just sits there staring at his dead wife.
FB ends, aged Soham is walking along the road, smiling at his cruel memories.

Mansi in the kitchen, Pranav and Sonu come in and try to eat some of the goodies, she pushes their hands away. She tells them its for guests only and tells them to go sit outside.
Bell rings, she runs to open the door. Shashank and his parents are outside, she welcomes Shashank Sir, he introduces her to his parents. She touches their feet and welcomes them inside.
The kids come running and yelling in joy to see Shashank. He hugs them happily. He introduces Sonu and Pranav to his parents, the kids do namastey to the adults.
Mansi asks them to sit down and she will serve them snacks. She goes to Prashant in the kitchen and tells him Shashank has come with his parents but Tayi has not come yet so he shd go and sit with them and she will serve snacks.
Prashant goes to the other room and greets the parents, Shashank introduces him as well.
Shashank takes him aside and asks where is Ankita? Prashant tells him hes been trying to call her but no response, she must have left the office, maybe shes stuck in the rain.
Shashank says means we have to handle the situation till she comes...
Mansi serves kanda poha to the parents and then to Shashank Sir telling him he loves that dish. They eat, the mother asks if Mansi made the poha and Mansi anxiously asks is it okay? Mother says its very good!
Everyone smiles, mother calls Mansi to come sit by her side. Mansi sits beside the mother, acting shy like a bride. Mother talks to her...Prashant looks worriedly at the door.
Mansi steals glances at Shashank who gives her a friendly smile.

Canada: Pari's office
Phone rings, a guy calls from Allen Media group for Purvi Deshmukh. Their company wants to invite Pari and her mom to attend the launch of their new product. Pari thanks the guy and asks when is the launch?
The guy says next week, Pari tells him shes sorry they cant attend as next week shes going to Mumbai for a project. The guy says okay Ma'am, no problem.
Pari says she has to find out abt Pioneer group of companies before going to Mumbai.
She types on her laptop and says, Wow, company seems quite big, profiles are also good! Oh My God! 100 percent profits in the last 20 yrs! That's remarkable! I have to find out abt their Board of Directors!
She types and clicks, Arjun's photo comes up on her screen! She gets serious, her smile fades as it comes up, Arjun Kirloskar, MD, Pioneer Group.
Pari remembers as a child shes tearing up all the photos of Arjun and Purvi and throwing them on the ground as she cries.
Purvi comes down the stairs and yells, what are u doing, Pari? Have u gone mad? She snatches the photos from Pari's hands.
Pari yells she doesn't want to see her Ayi with his man ever again! She doesn't like him!
She flings the photos on the ground and leaves.
FB ends, Pari closes her laptop angrily, then calls her PA Sonia to cancel her India tickets! Shes not going to India!
Pari is sitting there with a moody face, when Purvi comes and asks if she has time to talk to her Ayi? She wants to talk abt the India trip.
Pari interrupts her, Ayi, u were right! We are not going to India! We wont even do this project!
Purvi is surprised, but Beta, u wanted to go then why...
Pari prevaricates, Nothing, its just that a guy called from California's Allen Media Group, they want us to launch their product next week, so we are going there...
Pari leaves, Purvi looks puzzled. She says what will I do with this girl, she changes her mind all the time! She just cancelled her trip?

PRECAP:
Purvi is listening to her mobile, somebody is singing Happy Birthday to you, Purvi!
Its Arjun on the other end, sitting at a table outside with a big pink cake on it, while a musician plays the violin in the background.
Purvi listens to him with tears in her eyes. He completes singing Happy Birthday and blows out the single candle on the cake. He claps and then cuts the cake, all alone by himself!
