An absolute television sensation before his big jump into the world of Hindi cinema, Sushant was used to being adored and applauded for his incredible portrayal of Manav Deshmukh in the family drama, Pavitra Rishta.
Acting and good-looks apart, telly-viewers were in complete awe of this handsome hunk for his real life love story as well.
Sushant's leading lady in the prime time show, Ankita Lokhande, was a perfect match for him... off the cameras too.
The audience loved the two together in one frame... so much so that when Sushant and Ankita's romance became public, the TV loyalists celebrated the lovey-dovey union.
Now arises the obvious query as to how our Bollywood go-getter wooed his lady love. A candid Sushant doesn't think twice before spilling the beans to Mumbai Mirror, "Oh, that was hard work! I tried all the tricks I picked up from watching those romantic Shah Rukh Khan movies. But she could see through all my ploys. She hated me initially. But finally, she gave in and said yes. When you are spending 16 to 17 hours with a person who is persistently trying to woo you, you really don't have much choice! (Laughs)"
The loyal boyfriend also admits that though Ankita is not his first girl, but she is certainly the first serious girl he's ever got involved with.
