TOI: TV soaps become monotonus-RD

Rithvik Dhanjani,who will soon exit Pavitra Rishta,reveals that he prefers non-fiction shows to daily soaps.Having anchored Indias Best Dramebaaz,Rithvik says daily shows become monotonous after some time.He says,I love acting and I want to be in a position where I can give my inputs and experiment with the roles.But in daily soaps,we end up working continuously for 14 hours and that makes it repetitive,not giving us much scope to try anything new.Non-fiction shows are more fun on the other hand.So,I am hoping that I will be offered a daily show which is promising.

Great decision. I'm so happy that finally RD has decided to exit from PR. Looking at the current rate the story is heading, neither RD nor AN has any scope in it.

This is 100% true that in daily soaps,we end up working continuously for 14 hours and that makes it repetitive,not giving us much scope to try anything new.Non-fiction shows are more fun on the other hand.

I really hope that he will get more better offer.

Its good that RD is also quitting after the leap. I hope he gets a great role in a new show. Personally I dont like reality shows very much, especially hosts of reality shows so I hope RD utilizes his acting talent instead of doing reality shows.

Ekta's shows become monotonous after 4 yrs of running on OTT and repititive tracks! She also makes her actors work for 14 hr shifts so they get too exhausted. The actors shd get breaks like normal workers. They become too tired and jaded.

Totally agree with U Pallvi Di. Same view also with that I also not very much like reality show. But yes I was fully enjoy IBD only for RD hosting. I honestly want RD will continue his acting. But very far away with this stupid EK & BT.

Yes, I hated that show, IBD..it was so OTT! But I watched RD's hosting parts a few times... but seriously he shd focus on getting a good role with a great script. Story is the main thing in any show, and I also hope he never does any more Balaji shows again!
