Dil ki nazar se khoobsurat recently had a baby swap fiasco and while i am totally against baby swap , i couldnt help but notice how that serial had a more solid reason than this
Aradhya's husband dies when she is giving birth, the doctor couldnt save the baby. the doctor was good friends with Aradhya's husband and his wife is giving birth at the same time but she dies. his wife made him promise that their child will never miss a mother so without Aradhya's family's knowledge , he gives his baby to Aradhya
Now this a legitimate excuse , the husband died and the baby died. its too much for a family and aradhya to take so the doctor selflessly gave the baby.
When the baby was swapped here it was to save the face of the unmarried mom who was only 6 months pregnant to the world -.-
And when you do something good for someone you dont stick around to make them realize how great you are
