Chapter 21
That night when Purvi got home, all she could think about was Arjun. Today was just perfect for her, the time she was with him was like it was just the two of them, nothing else in the world and she loved it. She then remembered when she was little, and how she used to dream of these romantic things.
***********************Flashback***************************
It was 1:30 AM in Dubai. Everyone in the Deshmukh house is fast asleep, except for one person.
Everything in the house was silent, but then in the living room, there is a little girl about the age of 10 years old watching a romantic Bollywood movie and eating popcorn. This was Purvi. With Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge on her TV and a bowl of fresh popcorn, Purvi was set for the night. She was wearing her favorite PJs and was lounging on the couch. Not for one second did her eyes leave the TV screen. Forgetting how late it was, Purvi starts screaming her favorite song from the movie:
"HOGAYA HAI TUJHKO TO PYAAR SAJNA, LAAKH KAR LE TU INKAAR SAJNA, HAI YEH PYAAR SAJNA, HAI YEH PYAAR SAJNA!!!" She sang as she danced around the living room.
Meanwhile upstairs, the loud noise woke up a half asleep Archana and she ran downstairs. By the time she was there, Purvi was once again lounging on the couch and enjoying her favorite movie.
Archana sighed and laughed a little. Then she walked up to Purvi to see if she would notice that she was there. Just as Purvi was about to get more popcorn from her bowl, Archana held her hand and stopped her. Purvi slowly looked up only to discover her aai over her shoulder.
She gave a sneaky smile and then innocently said, "Aai!!! Dekho Dilwale aa raha hai! Chal mere saath dekh!" (Aai!!! Look Dilwale is coming! Come and watch with me!)
"Purvi tu pagal ho gaye hai kya? Pata hai kya time hua hai?!" Archana said. (Purvi have you gone crazy? Do you know what time it is?)
"Pata hai na, subah ki almost do baje." (Yes I do! It's almost two in the morning.) Purvi said smartly.
"Purvi!"
"Kya aaye, tune pucha ki kya time hua aur maine jawab diya." (What aai? You asked what time it was and I gave you the answer)
"Purvi, chal so ja, bahut late ho gaya hai. Tu yeh movie subah dekh lena!" (Purvi, come go to sleep, it's very late. Watch the movie in the morning!)
"Subah?! Nahi aai! Mein movie abhi finish karungi aur phir so jaungi!" (Morning!? No aai! I'm finished the movie right now and then I'll sleep!)
"Purvi please!" Archana kept trying to get Purvi to go to sleep, but Purvi kept ignoring her since she was so engrossed in the movie.
"Purvi! Purvi! Tu meri baat sun rahe hai ya nahi?" (Purvi! Purvi! Are you listening to me?)
"Oh, sorry aai, mera favorite part aa raha hai." (Oh, sorry aai, my favorite part is coming.)
Purvi had all of the lines memorized and Archana smiled watching her. She later sat down and watched the rest of the movie with Purvi. Some time later, the movie finished and Purvi turned the TV off.
"It was so perfect aai! Dekh na, jab mein badi ho jaungi toh mujhe bhi aisa pati milega." (Just watch, when I get older, I'll get a husband just like this.) Purvi said smiling.
"Sach? Already planning hogayi kya?" (Really? Have you already planned it?) Archana said softly stroking Purvi's hair.
"Of course aai! Kuch secret batau?" (Can I tell you a secret?)
"Bata." (Tell me)
Purvi motioned for Archana to come closer, and she softly whispered, "Maine toh already meri shaadi ki bhi planning ki hai! Sab kuch itna grand hoga ki main bata bhi nahi sakthi!" (I have already started planning for my wedding! Everything is going to be so grand that I can't even explain it!)
Archana laughed at hearing her daughters' creative plans.
"Isme hasne wali baat kya hai?" (What's so funny?)
"Kuch nahi, kuch nahi!" ( Nothing, nothing!)
Purvi laughed too. "Aur aai tu meri shaadi par itne ache kapde pahen ke sab log tujhe hi dekhengi! (And aai, at my wedding you have to wear such good clothes that people will just look at you!)
"Toh mein teri shaadi pe tere se bhi zyada aache kapde pehenu kya?! (So at your wedding you want me to wear better clothes than you?)
"Of course! If it wasn't for you, how would I be getting married?!"
Archana and Purvi both laughed and talked for the whole night.

Purvi smiled thinking about her fun times with her aai. She wished that her aai was here to see that her daughter was in love. She couldn't wait to go back to Dubai to tell her aai and baba and introduce them to Arjun, she already knew that they would love him. Purvi then realized the time, it was 11:30 and she had shoot at 6:30 the next morning. She quickly ran to take a shower and go to bed, when all of a sudden her phone rang. She smiled looking at the caller ID, it read "Alia" Purvi squealed as she answered the phone.
"ALIA!!!!" She screamed excitedly.
"PURVI!!!!"
Alia and Purvi had been best friends since they were babies. Alia was 24 years old and very modern. She had long, straight black hair and big brown eyes.
"Long time! How have you been? Alia asked.
"Good! Just getting ready for graduation and busy with life. And you?"
"I'm great! Listen, we need to catch up on so much and I have to tell you something so important! Can we meet up for coffee tomorrow?"
"Tomorrow? I can't Alia, I'm actually in Mumbai right now for a photo shoot, I won't be back till another few days."
"Ughh, but I really have to tell you now!!!"
"Okay, then tell me right now!"
"But it's too big to tell you over the phone!"
"What's so big?! It's not like you're getting married or something!"
There was silence over the phone for a minute Purvi understood what she had to tell her."
"Oh my gosh Alia are you serious?!"
"Yeah I'm serious!"
"When? To who? Oh my gosh tell me everything!"
"Okay, okay calm down! I'll tell you everything! His name is Vijay, and we're getting married June."
"OH MY GOSH!!! This is so great? Where? In Dubai?"
"Nope, destination wedding like I always wanted! Guess where!"
"Ummm, New York?"
"Nope!"
"Uhhh Paris?"
"Close!"
"Just tell me already I can't take the suspense!"
"LONDON!!!! This 7th-15th June, we are going to LONDON!!!"
"Oh my gosh that's great! Fab idea!"
"And Purvi you better be ready, you're gonna be my main bridesmaid! So you have to be with me the whole time!"
"Yes of course Mrs.Bridezilla."
"Shut up! Not yet anyway!"
The two laughed on the phone and talked for almost the whole night. And Purvi felt like she had everything, a perfect life. A great career, an amazing guy, the best family and the bestest friend ever.
Precap: Manav is in his office working, when he hears yelling in his office. He goes out and Dk is yelling at some worker.
"What the hell DK!" Manav yelled as he walked to DK.
"This is all your fault Deshmukh! Because of you we lost a valuable deal!"
