Jaipur gets the first look of Sushant-Parineeti's 'Shuddh Desi Romance'

Jaipur: The story of 'Shuddh Desi Romance' starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Parineeti Chopra is set in the Pink City. So, the makers of the film, in order to choose unique promotional tactic, decided to launch movie's first trailer at the Jaipur's iconic theatre Raj Mandir on Thursday, July 11. And needless to say, the tactic worked effectively in favour of the film, with Jaipur crowd, applauding and hooting, as soon as it was launched on the big screens.

Speaking about the creative concept, Sushant said, "Movie's maximum shooting has been done in Jaipur and it was Yash ji's idea to launch the first trailer in the city which has such a majestic appeal to it. Raj Mandir is a fantastic old theatre and this is the apt place for the launching. Also, we have shot one song of the film here at the movie theatre."

So what has Shuddh Desi Romance in store for the viewers? Sushant says, "Its a romantic comedy based on real relationships, commitment. It is also another take on the concept of live in relationships and the complications that follow. The movie tells you about what happens after love and before commitment. And I am sure, audience will relate to it and will have fun watching the film."

Parineeti too spoke about her character, asserting it to be different than what she did in her earlier films. "In my earlier two movie, I was playing the character of an energetic girl, however, in this film, i will be more sensible and more mature, unlike my age," she said. Parineeti will be seen as Gayatri in the film.

Meanwhile, Parineeti also feels that this is the best time to be in Bollywood. "Today people have started accepting new scripts and new comers. I think if the movie is good, it doesn't matter how old or how new you are in the industry. Today, female roles too have become better. This changing scenario has definitely helped us otherwise, hum jaise log kabhi actors hi naa bante," the lady said.

Both the actors later visited Rajasthan Patrika's office where they interacted with their fans and also were guest-editors for city supplement Patrika Plus.

Movie is slated to release on September 13.
