Purvi was so angry with Arjun. You're right she didn't know about ovi. Arjun should have said something but he was saying he was going to speak to his father about marrying purvi but he never got to. Even during engagement Arjun was saying to ovi.. I've been calling you and you didn't pick up my calls. And when manav asked him what's wrong, Arjun was about to say what's wrong but manav phone rang. And in the moment, he exchanged rings with Ovi.

I could have all been resolved right there, had Arjun just spoke up!

that's wat ovi did ... its not that ovi n arjun were not engaged when arjun n purvi fall in love .. arjun himself announced n accepted ovi infront of everyone in a function whr he rejected her proposal before that one ... ideally if he don't feel committed to ovi , he would never keep explaining her when he missed her calls .. if he speak with her as a frnd , he don't need to explain ovi every time he missed her cal ..but he did just like a man who committed to a woman ..n he bought gifts for her like fiance ...he didnt care to confess wat he has in his heart to ovi ... even when he realized his feeling for purvi, he didnt bother to confess it to ovi ...i remember he bought bangles to ovi n at the same time he bought them for purvi aswell
