Ankita Lokhande is back

Finally a good news for Ankita Lokhande's fans, she is not quitting the show, not breaking the lovely 'Rishta' with them. She is roped in again to play the lead role of Archana in Zee TV's flagship show Pavitra Rishta.

After much suspense over casting the female lead for this show, rumours have it that Ankita is the final choice for Archana. Earlier Archana refused to play the role of a grandmother hence she put her foot down and decided to quit. But now Archana has confirmed to continue her journey with Pavitra Rishta.

Channel even finalized Ram Kapoor's wife Gautami Kapoor as the replacement of Ankita Lokhande when she refused to play an old granny at such a young age. Shilpa Saklaniwas the first choice and was also auditioned to play this role. Due to some last minutes changes, Gautami was given a green flag. But seems like these leading ladies will have to wait long as Ankita is back with a bang!

The channel however was never in favor of replacing Ankita. They believe that Ankita is a brand face of their channel. Ekta herself loves the way Ankita plays Archana's character and she would never like her to go. When Ankita did not agree, Production house was left with no option but to search a new face and a good actress who could do justice to this most popular role on TV. But now everything is sorted and Ankita is back with Balaji Telefilms.

Ankita your fans will be very happy with your decision. This role has given Ankita, name and fame which she dreamt of adarsh bahu Archana will continue to rule our hearts!

Currently Archana's character is in coma in the show and our sources informed us that Ankita will resume shooting in three-four days. Then there will be a leap of few years in the serial with all twists 'n' turns to infuse freshness in the storyline. Ankita has taken a small break to rejuvenate herself by spending some time with her star boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput.

The question here is whether Ankita will done a look of an old, weak grand mother or continue playing the role with black hair and hot figure?? As the tradition of Balaji we might not see any wrinkles and white hairline. After all Ankita is very concious about her looks. Aren't you Ankita?

Anyways whatever you do, fans will love you for that! We tried reaching Ankita to confirm the news but she remained unavilable.
