I agree with your post to some extent, but I do not hate the actors or actresses. I only blame Ekta for her distorted portrayal of human emotions and relationships on screen.
Ekta is using marriage, culture and all other serious issues in a distorted way and in many cases in a biased way. So, why should we not say anything, the players that she uses are not science fiction people and lives. It is not easy to see her make joke a marriage, when it is a serious issue for many of us.

Ekta shows bias in terms of rich girls are spoilt and bad people and middle class/poor girls are pure and wonderful people, and if a man should get a pure and ideal partner, she has to be that middle class or poor girl. There is no such concept. No matter how you want to tell yourself this is Reel life, it still pricks at your conscience.

These are wrong messages, because people have different personalities and perceptions of life, no matter how much money they have or privilege they might seem to have. Rich girls and boys have problems too, they may not go through financial problems, but they can go through a whole lot worse.

I believe that Ekta and her team needs to write more realistic and unbiased shows, that people can relate to. She is not writing Sci-Fi movies, real issues and handling it poorly.

Valid point.
I agree its not real life and seriously people take it more seriously as if its not show but its something big and they cant survive without it.

Well we all know ekta's shows r all about seperation of leads, dozen of babies from different husbands (as if marraige is a joke. Thats why i ask people not to involve marriage institution in ekta shows and no need to find morals and ethics from her shows) and leaps after every week so if our heart is so weak lets not watch her shows. we have option to avoid her shows. Where she is forcing us to follow it?

Excellent show

👏Lovely post. You could not have said it better

Yes, very true! Real life is far worse than what they can ever show on PR. For a dose of reality one should watch Crime Patrol which presents such shocking cases that one's head starts reeling that how can human beings be so cruel, so heartless, so disgusting!
Fiction can never catch up with reality, maybe in some realistic movies in parallel cinema but TV shows are merely glossy fantasies.

If we look at the inequality in society today, the rich are getting richer (by fair means or foul, mostly foul)...and the poor are getting poorer.
Just 3 days ago, my sister told me abt 2 little kids dying of starvation in Benaras! Can u believe it? Dying of starvation because the woman had lost her husband and couldnt feed her kids? While the rich folks are milking the nation, making profits and stuffing their illegal Swiss bank accounts! Every month news of a new scam headlines the papers.
There is a lot of anger and frustration in society abt this inequality and injustice!
So most of fiction, be it novels, movies or TV shows, they mostly portray rich people as evil, and rich kids behaving atrociously. If one attends any college or high school, one can see the truth of these portrayals, how the affluent kids behave there and how the middle class kids suffer from inferiority complex.
In literature this is a much discussed topic, Does art imitate life or life imitates art?

in life or story exit is more important than entry.. what were u when born is not important what are u when u die is important.. so any show shows that how a insensitive and proudish oerson changes to a sensible and loving person... and this is not only in ekta shows any show will have such triangles as even people will also to watch how two opposites get together in life in both thoughts and status wise...

then you sure haven't watched Qubool hai or Madhubala
They have everything yet nothing
it's only Ekta who REPEATS these
see I don't say middle class people are bad or rich people are good
oh did i mention her lack of creativity too

Pallavi this post is bang on..! Portrayal of rich kids is portrayed no exaggeration, when I was in school if you didn't have a big house or the latest car the rich snobby kids would look down on you, they used to complain about not having the latest phone or other gadgets while there were some people hiding out in the libary because their parents couldn't afford to feed them. so sad. What a world we live in eh.

Yes, dear, the truth is even more harsh than what they show in these serials and movies. My daughter has also been through high school and college in US and its the same everywhere, rich kids showing off, making fun of less privileged kids, peer pressure, brand name shoes, clothes, cell phones, middle class parents struggling to pay for cheaper versions of these luxuries.
In India the rich-poor divide is even worse so the chasm is greater.
Middle class viewers (largest percentage of TV audience) empathize more with those less privileged characters and so those characters are portrayed as female leads in serials. Rich heros fulfil their fantasies of getting a Prince of their dreams.
Interesting psychology exploited by CVs and serial makers. 😃
