Well... one thing Saddy, this scene and date did not make me fall in love with Arjun Kirloskar. I already loved him. This scene only confirmed and reaffirmed what I thought of him and multiplied my love tenfold for this character.
Yes Jyo... Arjun - good or bad, right or wrong, stupid or sensible, has always lived by his words. His words... words of love, pride, honour, passion and conviction.
I have been a viewer of many soaps... saw many couples fall in love... but have never witnessed a hero like this one before. He was and is a hero in MY books and I will always support and love him - Arjun THE Kirloskar, for his love has always been real and all consuming.
What could have been indeed... a day that should have been a happy celebration and confirmation of love is now looked on sadly, regretfully and thinking WHAT THE HELL is wrong with those CVs.
Thanks Saddy for the thread and thanks Aathya and Bharu for helping.
p.s. How can I even conclude this post without saying Kudos to Rithvik Dhanjani?! Well..I simply cannot! The scene was only as real, alive, passionate and special as it was because of his portrayal of Arjun. His expressions were bang on, it made u sit at the edge of your seats praying for him... rooting for him... shedding tears for him and with him. Everything about that week... from his realisation of love with his mother, to his confession, to the mandir scene just before he left for the airport were spectacular - priceless. He earned the title king of expressions that week! Superb acting and superb portrayal of the character! Thank you Rithvik for making me love Arjun!
