Purvi's stunned expression today was more for how Arjun and Ovi would take the truth than Onir's court case..i could see itđĄ
My question is she probably owes her life to Archana, why does she try to do everything for Deshmukhs? What did they ever do for herPurvi has till date only excelled in these roles :-granddaughter- daughterFailed in all of these- Lover-Mother-Wife-SisterHer is the worst character in history of indian television , others sacrificed but only till a limiti think she should just go start sacrificing animals, it will at least cool down her urge to SACRIFICEOnir thinks she is MAHAAN. Arjun thinks she is Sati Savitri. Manav thinks she is the one "who spreads happiness" . Archana's perfect daughter.but really none of these really apply to heri think asha should walk out of this show asap , her beautiful face is being ruined by her tears and grandma look.it kills me to see this arjun-purvi track had so much potential but now this is all just ..RUINED

My dear,
I do not know what your real name is, but you are priceless! Especially i think she should just go start sacrificing animals, it will at least cool down her urge to SACRIFICE.
But then you see, she specialises in human sacrifices, first of Arjun and now of Onir.
The ancient Greeks used to sacrifice white bulls to the King of the Gods, Zeus, but the condition was that the bull should go willingly to the sacrifice,as otherwise Zeus would not accept it. Here, Purvi has no problem of that kind, since both Arjun and Onir are only too happy to be sacrificed by her.
The only difference is that Arjun's misery was strictly private, whereas Onir's is going to be very, very public. He is a simple chap, who has led an uncomplicated and blameless, indeed virtuous life so far, till fate placed him in Purvi's path. Phir to jo hona tha wahi hua, aur ab to na man ka chain hai na dil ka sukoon. đ

To come to today's episode, yesterday, I felt that Purvi had redeemed herself somewhat for all her egregious follies of the past few months. Today, I have changed my mind. I was unpleasantly struck by the fact that in all her frantic discussions with Onir, interspersed by voluble expressions of near panic about what would happen to Arjun and Ovi if the truth came out, not once does Purvi do either of the following:
- express regret at her having forced Onir to swap the babies and thus created this very sticky situation. She does not even think in passing that she was wrong, and in fact behaves as though it was a joint decision, or even one taken by him. This is buck passing on a grand scale, and shows a remarkable talent for revisionist thinking.
- worry about what would happen to ONIR if the truth came out, what would be the fallout for his career and his hitherto spotless reputation. No, she goes on and on moaning about her family - which does not seem to include him.
I was strongly tempted to sock her one in the solar plexus.
He is of course very much to blame for indulging this irredeemably self-centred female beyond all limits, and now he is going to pay for it. The idiot talks of hamara decision, as if he was a co-initiator. Circe (you would remember her from the Odyssey) is nothing to apni Purvi. God help the man who comes within hailing distance of her, for he is doomed.
This apart, Onir is not at all street smart or particularly quick at tackling sticky situations. He seems be too straightforward and too little chaalu, in short, as Varsha put it. kachcha. See how he commits the crowning folly of actually telling Mittal that he is going to lodge a complaint against him with the police! What did he think Mittal would do, wait to be arrested? A cleverer man would have kept absolutely quiet and then lodged the complaint without any warning, and kept himself in the background. Of course he should have reported the Kundan affair, with the dead boy from the chawl, to the police at once, and he realises that now. But the way he handles a rattlesnake like Mittal, confronting him frontally and warning him in advance, is pure idiocy.
Then, when Mittal is asking him for a reply, he is simply unable to tell a direct lie, whereas most others in his position would have bluffed their way thru with a straight face.

Dear Waneeka,
That is an unusual and very pretty name. Does it have a specific meaning?
I completely agree with what you have said at the very end, but then that is Purvi all over. I wrote once that for her, there are only 2 categories of people - those for whom she will do anything, which would be her aai , baba, Ovi, Soham and her aaji - and those to whom she will do anything to further the interests of group 1, to wit Arjun first and now Onir, plus another half for baby Pari.
Purvi never seems to bother about what she is doing to Onir, both personally and professionally. As I wrote 2 days ago on another thread,
To come to today's episode, yesterday, I felt that Purvi had redeemed herself somewhat for all her egregious follies of the past few months. Today, I have changed my mind. No wonder Mittal, who is the kind of person who would give a rattlesnake an inferiority complex, runs rings round him. This said, I think he will come thru safely soon, for they cannot afford to let villainy triumph so unashamedly,

PS: I am glad you too are interested in Greek mythology.

My name means ..God's gracious gift đthank you!agree with everything you mentionedsee, I love Purvi too but then now she is becoming unbearable ..she really didnt have to give her daughter to Ovi and ArjunAnd purvi is one character ..i am unable to understand how she thinksnone of her actions make sense ..She doesn't care about Onir. She treats Onir like her personal secretary ..Purvi doesn't seem to understand the long term consequence of her actions. For instance, if Arjun ever finds out for any reason that he is the biological father but ovi isn't the mother ..then how will it harm their marriage?Same applies for when Purvi asked Arjun to marry Ovi.. She didn't for once think that how will Arjun keep ovi happy if his heart beats for Purvi?
