'Jolly LLB' collects Rs 12.51 crores in its opening weekend overtaking the other two releases 'Mere Dad Ki Maruti' and '3G' at the box-office.

Fox Star Studios' first full-fledged production has hit the bull's eye at the Box Office. It's been afantastic weekend for the film as it posted a solid figure of 12.51 crore in domestic nett box office. With a strong theatrical showing along with the sale of Satellite and cable rights, Jolly LLB has already become yet another profitable venture for Fox Star Studios. The film, which has been praised, by the audiences and the critics alike, witnessed a collective 40-50% jump in multiplexes and single screens, through the weekend- registering a figure of 3.12 cr on Friday , 4.23 Cr on Saturday and 5.16 Cr on Sunday. Looking at the tremendousresponse, Fox Star Studios has decided to increase the screen count of the film, in order to ensure it reaches to maximum number of cinegoers.

Of the other two releases of the week, Y-Films Mere Dad Ki Marutifared considerably better collecting around Rs 4.5 crores over the opening weekend with the business being best in the Northern territories. Neil Mukesh's Supernatural thriller 3G ended up as the lowest grosser amongst the new releases, collecting around Rs 3.5 crores in the opening weekend.

The coming Friday sees 3 releases including Bipasha Basu and Nawazuddin Siddiqui's horror flick Aatma, Jackky Bhagnani's Rangrezz directed byPriyadarshan and Naseeruddin Shah starrer Sona Spa.
