Shruti was fabulous. 👏 She took the cake in one of the best scenes of her character so far. She has outdone her young counterparts in the acting department for sure. ( Am I allowed to say that? I don't think I care for rules anymore anyway)
She really brought out tears in my eyes. My friend lost her baby a year ago and even though she did not have a Purvi who disposed off her child like trash, she saw her stillborn baby and I remember her depression for months on. It is a very harsh tragedy to deal with. I could not gather courage to even silent her moans and cries, because really what can you say when a mother loses her child? Is there a parameter that if a child has had some years of life and he/she dies there is more pain than when you have a stillborn who you never got to raise? I don't think so. A baby inside of your womb is your baby, a baby you have looked after for 9 months, practically raised it inside of you, made dreams for them and hoped for the best life, even before their actual birth. All of this is smashed when you have a miscarriage or your baby dies for any unfortunate reason.
To top this, when you do not even get to see your dead baby, hold it in your arms, kiss the face that you would have seen for the rest of your life, and give the baby the burial she/he would want from his family, I don't know how that pain feels and I wish no one has to deal with it ever. Shruti portrayed these emotions so well, it really made me shed tears sitting in office. I can safely say that if it was Purvi in her place who had lost her baby, I would feel the same. I had not felt an ounce of sympathy for Purvi when she had her hospital scene with Onir crying because she had volunteered to give up her baby. How can one have any sympathy there? But if she would have lost the baby she was carrying, I would have felt very sorry for her.
Shruti being so young, amazed me today with her abilities to bring out such complex emotions for a part that she in her real life has not even experienced. Not being a wife, not being a mother, it is hard to feel and emote what they would feel about a cheating husband, an illegitimate child and a dead baby. It is so much tragedy all together at once. Plus her scene with Archana was brilliant. Finally, she spoke out loud how she had felt all those years of abandonment when she grew up without a mother. Much like how I had felt Purvi's pain at having grown up wirhout a father when she talks to Manav about it ( Asha was great in that scene too). all the children have been so wronged by their parents that I felt bad for poor Soham too. He looked so lost and confused but still so vulnerable seeing Ovi in pain because inherently he knows this is his sister and he wants to love her and protect her. It was endearing to see him feel sad for her. So many issues all the kids have, but nor father nor mother have been there to help them figure out life. Just left them on their own to make a mess themselves and let others make a mess of their lives.
I am so shocked by people on this forum celebrating Ovi's dead baby truth being brought to her that I actually have nothing to say about them, but also Purvi, a fictional character looks more bearable than actual people. So I don't want to comment on them or her and faltu dialogues like "sahi waqt for sacchai" pr her lecture about hiding from spouse or the reckless assumption that Ovi will forgive them because of her love for Pari. Purvi deserves no mention in my words. She is too low a character to give her space.
