It was the other way around; it was Purvi who came between Ovi and Arjun.

Ovi and Arjun were childhood friends.

They grew up together.

Ovi and Arjun were supposed to be married, and the alliance was fixed by their respective families. When 2 Indian families fix alliance - it is cast in stone. That is how marriages happened in India and between Indians from time immemorial.

Arjun came and fell for another girl. He was responsible for bring Purvi into his and Ovi's relationship.

It was Purvi who knew that Ovi, her step sister, was going to be married to Arjun, still she went ahead with it.

Not only that She then sleeps and gives Arjun up after a one night stand'.

All I would say is that I dont want to get into this whole argument of traditions and customs as people glorify it when it suits the purpose and when not they forget about it. Is it a good custom? Is it one that we should all glorify? I doubt it. The world has evolve with time

The world might have evolved with time, but the value of a word given, a promise made remains the same...the value remains the same from time immemorial all over the world...so, without negating a promise made before, or breaking an engagement, Arjun was engaging in two timing 2 girls...it that an acceptable fact according to this "new, changed and improved' world???

Can Ovi get a slap too?...she really missed out on the slap mania. I am not an advocate for parents slapping their kids but would really like to see Manav and Archana be parents to Ovi for once and be able to tell Ovi on her face that Ovi is not always right without being afraid of ANYONE. Isn't that the Pavitra Rishta between parents and kids?
