You know.. When Ekta separated Arvi, I stopped watching PR. I gave up on Arvi ever getting together.
And then I thought I'd watch it after the gap..
I was startled about the Onir-Purvi pairing at the start but with time I actually really liked their pairing cuz I thought that Onir was an amazing guy! I had some hope even when Ekta made them sleep together in the same bed when she was with him. I guess the CVs then got greedy and thought that if the baby was Arjun's they might get more TRPs. Which is true granted the large Arvi audience but completely out of character for somebody as cautious as Purvi. I was shocked and disappointed cuz she gave Arjun such a hard time even when he was wooing her for her love, so I can't believe she came off so easy despite all her sanskari ways. Badly written.. :/
Then they had to bring in the twist and make a plot blooper where Onir-Purvi were just friends and never touched each other, sleeping separately.
So yes, while I would never warm up to the idea of Ovi and Arjun, eww, I started getting used to Onir-Purvi. Right when I was warming up to the idea of Purvi-Onir, bang, it all slides back to Arjun-Purvi.
It is quite realistic that we never get exactly what we want in life, but we move on and find different paths in life that could lead us to happiness or sorrow.
Purvi has successfully dragged in 4 lives into the mud thanks to her ridiculous choices. It's kind of sad cuz had she either got married to Arjun or left him to decide what to do with his life or left Onir alone for that matter.. all of them would have been perfectly happy and found love elsewhere. It happens and that is reality.
At the end of this, it's great that Purvi and Arjun stand a higher chance of getting together - true. I would be happy for them..However, as much as I don't really care about Ovi and her bratty ways, I really have grown fond of Onir as a character and it saddens me that such a good man drawn with excellent character has to have his heart broken in the end. Just like in every other hindi drama or movie, the guy or girl with the big heart makes the ultimate sacrifice and is forever alone in the friend zone.

Why can't the other guy be happy for once (just as much as I wanted the other guy to end up happy in the movie Something borrowed lol.. As the word goes.. nice guys finish last..)? Sigh, we obviously can't expect that.. After all, Ekta is the Queen B of all sacrifices, heartbreak and unrealistic happy endings.
All I hope is that they don't make such a beautiful character turn negative. If they do so, I will never watch an Ekta serial ever again! :(
As of now, my attention has turned from PR to QH where I am hoping the lead couple actually ends up married soon and then go through the usual hardship/drama in life as opposed to divide and conquer techniques used these days!
