Amita Mumbai is gorgeous city no doubt.
@Sujata great even me pan kadhitari yeto pune la as my frnds live there.
Even i can speak Gujrati language too fluently but somewhere the gujju peoples speak the words which is hardly makes a gud impression on me.

Prity, but when people speak Tamil it doesn't even sound close to Hindi. Must be very hard to learn.

yup i studied in anglo indian school.,most of my friends were north indians.,guju,marati,rajastani,some were 4m west to.,it was hard 2 learn hindi 4 me .,but d lang was not strange though.,but dose ppl learned tamil very easily 4m us but v didn't learn deir lang😆😆.,

Aw, where do you live in Cali again Amita ?

hindi, urdu, bangla, punjabi, gujurati, marathi, and a few other langs are Indo Aryan, so theyre similar- a few words here and there are diffeent with spelling changes, letter additions etc. Then tamil, telegu, malayalam are dravidian languages thats why they sound so different next to Hindi :o

I was just reading about languages last night when i couldnt sleep- strange the topic comes up tonight lol

Wish i had family in India to visit. Whenever im abroad, its to go to Bangladesh. India has to be on my "Places to travel to before Im married" list 😆

@Eshu- I live in LA. Very small Bengali community but they all know each other from masjid. They're sooo fun to have as guests. 😆 Roopchanda=mermaid, right? 😃
