Linda, agree with you even though with a heavy heart. Arvi make a great couple but if Ovi is pregnant with Arjun's child and Arjun feels responsible for Ovi's current state, he is obviously wanting to or at least trying to move on. So if Purvi is happy with Onir, why upset the apple cart for no reason?

Sometimes, love is not enough however great it may be. These two loved each other but let each other down pretty badly. As another member (Nemesis Power?) wrote Onir may be the strong mature kind that will hold Purvi to her senses. While romantic love that knows no limits may be the stuff fairy tales are made up of, daily life is more homespun with sensible love, unfortunately.
Arjun may learn to settle for less with Ovi, friendship and affection, while Purvi might grow to love the quiet dependability of the man who has shouldered the responsibility of her unborn child. Neither might have "the love can move mountains" sort of feeling for their spouses that they felt with each other but for this same reason, they may lead less tumultuous lives. Sad but possible.

Their love will forever be linked and will on in their child, the "nishaan" of that love but they will learn to live with others for the sake of the sacrifice or stupid decision each took while throwing to the winds the chance they had to live their soul searing love together.

Honestly, the only way Arvi can be united is if Purvi is pretending to be married to Onir and Ovi is carrying Romil's child. Arjun cannot be expected to leave Ovi otherwise not even to give Sahara to Purvi as she has already found that with Onir. Purvi was a fool to have cast aside such a love, her aai held steadfast to manav for 18 years when all hope was lost, Purvi should have learned something from that, her aai even went to stop Manav's wedding with shravani all those years ago. Loving is not enough, learning to safeguard that love is more important.

I can completely understand what you feel, but the answer to your question is there in your post. The 'old' scenes. They are by now out of date, for both the principals have gone their different ways. If Arjun and Purvi are rebooted now, after Purvi displays amazing ingratitude by dumping Dr. Onir as she once dumped Arjun, the result will be like the aftermath of a demolition derby.

Arjun and Purvi were very appealing at one time and very few have spent as much time and effort writing about them as I have. But that is all dead and gone, and with the best will in the world, it cannot be resurrected as it was. That is the fact, and one has to face it.

But do not despair. In the end it will be Arjun-Purvi, after Ovi dies and Dr. Onir is jettisoned, for they are not the second leads for nothing. But it will be a poor, tattered, faded version of the Arjun-Purvi love story. There will be too much of bitterness all around them for them to be ever as happy as they would once have hoped to be.
