Well done Analysis👏
I could not agree more. Sometimes I feel as if im the looser because I continue to care about this show. You are very right Cv's made the worst mistake with this show when Arjun and Ovi got married, and now they don't know what to do with it... They have ruined the name of their show once and for all pretty much Pavitra Rishta.
Purvi's character is being dealt with the worst. For once can't they just show her dealing with the problems in her own life, instead of trying to solve every issue in Archana's life. Now at days it doesnt even seem like Archana cares about Purvi's well being. Only as the person who will listen to all of her issues. If they go ahead with this pregnancy track I rather have Purvi leave city once and for all. I prefered that track since the wedding. They could have shown a a girl trying to piece back her life again and become a sttrong independent professional.
I also thought this Soham track would be nice but instead it irritates me to the point where I have to close my ears. I was watching the rerun yesterday and it was pitiful.
When TRP ratings come back Ekta is in for an extreme rude awakening.

A little late to the party Jyo but I completely agree with what you've said.
PR is in the pits these days and I've given it a miss for most of last week. Not interested in any pregnancy tracks either (if the rumors are to be believed). Both girls are way to young and I find it distasteful to drag an innocent into this awful mess.
There were so many viable plots the CVs could have used to keep the fires of PR burning bright but alas such is not the case.
Maybe too many cooks spoiled the broth?

I agree Laurie.. There is nothing in PR right now that makes me want to watch it eagerly. When I do watch it, it is more out of a habit than anything else and hoping it would get better, but nothing yet.
Vishnu track, which was promising before, has become such a drag. If the intent to adding all these new characters is to drag it to 1000 episodes, as I hear, the writers better clean up their act and polish the existing tracks quite a bit, or they are going to loose more viewers as days go by. Especially, with the horrid track pregnancy track they are planning coming soon.
There seems to be such a dearth of imagination with this group of writers, I wonder how they are going to manage to sustain the viewers interest.

Jyothi re I always felt that they should have started a fresh new season (PR - 2,ending PR in a good positive way) instead of the 18 year leap or they could have brought the new cast without the leap in a interesting way.
Alas no..Well I hate to see Anki to play a Dadi role at such a young age if the double pregnancy track is on.
Anki is too loyal and committed to go against Ekta and even Hiten wont go against her due to the long association of him with Ekta and new cast wont dare.
So if the leap is planned with double pregnancy then no one can do anything.
I will just stick on to the show as I am currently doing for Anki after Sush left and keep my mind/brain out (literally almost 😆) and watch the show.
This show was once watched equally for its wonderful love story between two simple middle class people (Arman) and after certain point storyline/plot ceased to exit and currently everyone watch for their favorites.
Guess I have to keep the wonderful golden memories of PR of the past and bear through it.
Archu - Soham track (again yes a drag but at least CV's have got a track on here) is much better storywise than the pale love triangle (Arjun - Purvi - Ovi) which neither CV's or anyone knows where they want to take it (double pregnancy and what not) .Feel bad for all the actors of the show.

You are bang on.
Before the leap they want to make sure that Teju is hooked up with someone.
They should also bring a girl from a South Indian family for Sachin.
The more the merrier
and the easier it will be for them to drag the storyline and borrow stories from here and there.

They barely show RD these days and even if they do it's a 2 mins role.Is he moving on to bigger things after winning Jhalak? Just wondering. His has become a very, very sidey role.

Hi Jai,
Been a while..nice to see your post here..
I really dont know how you did it for 3 years sticking out through all the ups and downs, sometimes great, but also a lot of nonsense ditched out in the name of twists. Yes, it must be hard for Ankita as it is to play a mother of 5 grown up kids, and now if she has to play a grandmother, that will be the pits for her. It is not just for this track, but for any, I feel that the actors should protest if there is ridiculousness planned,. I guess they are worried about their jobs with the production houses. Rithik, Asha and Shruthi are too young in this industry and probably fear the backlash, but the senior actors, I feel, should take a stand at it. Anyway, I am probably being too idealistic 😊...The past week of PR has been going on aimlessly with no direction, the same words repeated in different scenarios by the same people, it is just plain boring. You are right, there is some story in soham track, but what happened to the pizzaz with which it started. Vishnu is fast losing his appeal with the way the story is progressing.
Puriv is aimlessly dropping in everywhere with no direction.. and the triangle which should never have been there at all, is the biggest blunder of the writers, I feel, which they have no clue what to do with. They cant decide if Ovi should be good bad or ugly, hence they keep vascilating her everyday..
Anyyway, this thread was to vent my frustration of PR, as it is now.. 😊

I would be glad, if he gets out of PR and move on to better things..
