Now do you see why it is Purvi who is Archana's real heir(ess)?
Both can do NO wrong. Sulochana gives this certificate to Archana every few episodes, and Archana gives it to Purvi except on the rare occasions when she lands her some solid slaps.
This internal certification process is accepted without question by the men unfortunate enough to have got entangled with these haloed beings: Manav in the case of Archana and of course Arjun with Purvi.
The women in question are not only never blamed for the worst things they do, but the affected men go out of the way to give them a clean chit. Manav of course has far more things for which he has to write papal style indulgences, but he does it without question, the latest being for this bail fiasco.
But still, for me, the worst was when Archana not just ditched Manav when he needed her the most, in the chawl demolition case, but she accused Manav of wrongdoing, disbelieving his fervent protests. Instead, she believed the chawl residents, who then framed Manav in the case. it was no thanks to her that he was not jailed for years.
And now she coolly advises Ovi about the importance of 'trust' in a marriage! It takes one's breath away - the calm hypocrisy of it. How much trust did she have in Manav then, after having been married to him for years? If I had been him, I would have divorced her on that ground alone. I would not have waited for the Soham fiasco to happen. In that sense, Manav too is responsible for what happened to Soham.
Except that Balan gives me the creeps and he will surely get his Lalla killed one of these days, given Vishnu's rash temperament, I could wish that Vishnu stays with Varsha and carries on as before. Adjusting both to the loss of his sheet anchor, his mayee, and to the dysfunctional Deshmukhs would be too much for any sane person!
Lastly, as I have written on my own latest thread, judging from today's episode, the CVs are starting to build up Ovi , and I have a feeling that Arjun is going to settle down with her, after a fashion, for he is now going back to their shared memories. Plus he is quite obviously setting himself to making her feel at ease, by citing their friendship and their knowledge of each other from so many years spent together in their childhood and early youth.
Now this is not something that can be denied, and if the girl he worshipped cared so little for him or his love as to sell him to a willing bidder to get something she wanted for her aai, then why not? Why should Arjun languish forever in the Trishanku style limbo, wretchedly unhappy and unable to do anything about the real source of his misery? I would not mind at all if he settles down and is at least comfortable, if not happy.
But that will not happen, and I expect that Ovi will die in childbirth, and then Purvi will have her cake and eat it, with a halo fixed firmly in place for having redeemed so many souls, plus a ready made kid of Arjun's to mother by proxy. Unless of course there are TWO kids, which is too awful a prospect to contemplate. Let us see what happens.

I didn't watch Tuesday's episode but want to comment on Mondays:
I can't believe Archana is using the excuse that "Soham wanted something from me for the first time and I had to give it to him." This is almost similar to giving in to Sachin's demand of leaving Manav and then raising a hue and cry over it because she couldn't bear to be apart from her family and it was because of Sachin. I was one of those viewers who thought Archana very foolish for agreeing to Sachin's demand but I was also foolish in being swayed by Archana's character believing Sachin to be in the wrong. How my eyes have opened since then! Archana brought the divorce unto herself and now by setting Balan free (and without even consulting Manav) wouldn't that shake the foundations of their marriage yet again because she's doing almost exactly what she did 18 years ago only this time, it's the demands of her son and not her ill sister.Allowing Varsha to care for Soham for long periods of time was both Archana and Manav's fault and if Manav sides with Archana regarding Balan's release then it's equally Manav and Archana's fault. If Archana is committing wrong by releasing a ruthless gunda, then Manav is also doing wrong by supporting her actions. These two are terrible parents who don't think coherently for their childrens' own good.Kalapi I agree that the Arjun-Purvi story has gotten stale. Really there's nothing left to it. I liked it in the beginning but now I absolutely cannot stand Arjun-Purvi's coincidental meetings because it's getting annoying. Arjun is unhappy with this relationship, why doesn't he divorce Ovi? Purvi's silly kasam be damned. Arjun is putty in Purvi's hands. Shyamala mentioned in her most recent post that Purvi's behavior towards Arjun (forcing him to marry Ovi, telling him off for calling Soham a gunda, etc., etc.) is that way because she knows he won't retaliate against her. She gets away with a lot and Arjun doesn't have the spine to tell her off. I'm so disappointed in him. Love has made Manav and Arjun such foolish imbeciles, it would be funny if it weren't so pathetically stupid.
