I agree with you Alicia. ARVI has lost it's magic for me the moment Purvi even thought about getting Arjun and Ovi together. Even if they do end up together later, it will not be as great as it used to be in the earlier days of AK and Purvi. I just want Asha and Rithvik in a new show together. They have gotten so much popularity from PR that they will eventually be offered other shows.
And I don't mean to offend anyone, but why are Arjun-Purvi nominated as favorite couple? They are not a couple in the show anymore. Firstly, Arjun is married to Ovi. And secondly, I hate how the channel keeps promoting Arjun and Purvi as a couple when they're not. It's like they're making fools of the fans who still hope for Arvi to be together, like they're saying "Oh since they're not a couple anymore in the show, we will still satisfy your hopes of them being together through promotions." My family wonder why they keep promoting Arjun-Purvi even though he's a taken man. To traditional viewers, they will see this constant Arjun-Purvi pairing as an insult to marriage and consider Purvi bad in all of this. When I told them that it's because Arvi is very popular and fans want to see them together, then they fire back that "If that's the case, why didn't the creatives get them married in the show?" All of EK's shows have a history of making a mockery of marriage and relationships and I so badly want Asha and Rithvik to leave this show and do something better.
