Dear Kalalpi,

I would not dare do that, for I would probably get booted off the forum for telling too many uncomfortable truths.😉I was once warned for saying that a character in PR looked like the backside of a bus!

They showed clearly that Priya is taken to be dead, and this on very slender evidence, for of course there was no body, and it was only a landslide, not a case of a bus falling into a ravine. Incidentally, Jyothi, the woman who died in that accident, and who ditched Rajat Kapur and then left him saddled with her 2 daughters ( not a word about what happened to the chap for whom she dumped Rajat) was played by the same Priya Marathe who is Varsha in PR. She seems to be a serial ditcher of the nicest men, doesn't she?

Incidentally, I seem to have missed this 30 second daydream of Purvi's. Where does it come? I must have been nodding off at 9:15 pm!! PR should be prescribed for insomniacs.

Dear Shymala,

I had a good laugh reading your analysis of BALH. The only thing I can say about it is, that I am glad you didn't decide to post this in that forum😉. Btw, I still don't get it whether Priya was assumed dead or assumed missing pre-leap (or was that piece of extremely important info, left purposefully vague by the CV Gods, for future confusions), and if the 7 yr rule changes on the assumption of dead vs. missing scenario.

As for Arjun/Purvi/Ovi triangle back in PRLand, I simply don't understand what Cvs is upto showing 30 secs footage of someone dreaming of an illicit relationship. This might very well be a means to please a section of the audience who will take anything in the name of romance and are thus easily pleased anyway or check the current pulse of Indian audience to see how far it can be pushed to accept a Jeeju/SIL relationship in the name of love.

To me, the Cvs definitely missed an opportunity yesterday to create some sort of tension between Arjun and Purvi's handsome boss, alas by getting an actor to play a role that is clearly a misfit (to put it extremely mildly😃). And frankly, the Ovi/Arjun's mistrust is boring, unless Ovi is turned out and out negative, but the current track on Ovi isn't, rather am sure a section of the audience can only too well understand her predicament and very valid reasons for mistrust of Arjun, who is, as you put it very well, happy to roll over and prostrate at slighted of command from Ms. Purvi'

Dear Shymala

Who did you call backside of a bus??? I am very curious...😃

As for PK, if she was assumed dead, then a dead certificate could be issued and the 7 yr rule shouldn't apply..I think, in my view...

If she is missing but probably assumed dead, probably the same rule applies too...

But, if missing, then the 7 yr rules become applicable...

Since Priya's accident isn't related to a military mishap, or can be related to enemy combatant or possible captured fighters, were information gathering becomes murkier...this is a civilian incident in full public view...so, if a someone is dead, and decides to become undead😆 after sometime, then the rule of marriage void after a death certificate is issued, must to me take precedence, in my view (purely my view, without a law degree).

The fact that Priya was fully aware of all the possible consequences and still decided to walk away with a sane mind, only add to my indignation in this case...she wanted them to believe she was dead in the first place...so be it...I could have understood (as it happens in Indian movies 😉) if she was in coma/mental instability/imprisoned for a period of time (there was a movie that showed that, a SRK and Rishi Kapoor starrer, can't remember its name now that showed just that, where a couple gets separated and hubby is assumed dead, but was in a coma - that leads to second marriage)...besides, these 7 yr rule only creates confusion and no girl/ boy really should marry anyone who isn't sure 100% with a body that his first spouse is dead...this situation is very problematic, in my opinion...personally, in my POV, Priya should be facing lawsuits for false pretense of being dead all these times...

Back in PRLand -

The 30 secs dream comes before Purvi's interview with the very unprofessional and not so handsome looking boss😆...serious, this girl daydream waiting for an interview...

Well, my dear, it was Savita, and I do hope the thought police are not looking! They might be having a policy of 3 infractions ( they just might have also caught my very unflattering descriptions of Ovi's nose and the purple dress she wore at her birthday party, the one where she slapped Purvi) and bingo! out you go! I do not mind being unable to post, for I do not seem to have too much to say these days, but I would definitely miss you girls!

As for all the scenarios for the dead and the undead (not the kin of Dracula!) - deliberately or otherwise - that you are proposing, out I am by now so confused that I could not sort these puzzles for you in a year. But I absolutely loved your obiter dictum that no girl/ boy really should marry anyone who isn't sure 100% with a body that his first spouse is dead. 🤣 Oh dear, I am laughing so hard still that my eyes are full of tears and I can barely see the page! You are really something else again!!

I wish Priya had stayed dead (for Ram, that is) and married that poor besotted Rajat, who seems to be terminally jinxed where the women in his life are concerned. Then the 2 fitness freaks - he and Priya - just might have whipped the roly poly Pihu into some sort of shape. As it is, if Ram wins his case and father and daughter try to beat each other in aloo paratha eating contests, soon they will have to widen the doors in the Kapoor mansion to accommodate them.

But I loved yesterday's shouting match between Ram and Priya in front of an outraged Principal and an exasperated Pihu. It was great fun.

Shymala dear,

I am glad you had a good laugh….I guess, my problem is that I tend to over-analyze😃

No really, this undead Priya (and she literally is undead (just like scary Dracula – still remember how scared I was when I read that bk in school) to all who thought her dead for all these years) coming back in Ram's life is very disruptive. I just have to make sure my hubby isn't hiding a past missing wife 😆 who decides to become undead and come forward now😉…true, I am married more than 7 yrs, but still one never knows😆…

Anyways, I guess the perpetual DA that I am, I also end up supporting the underdog….I find all of Kapoor family rooting for Priya and not caring about Ayesha (although hardly a Saint herself just like Savita in PR, I do see her POV too)…seriously, what a great mess up and disruption this 'undead' Priya has caused….

Btw, after hearing abt the great entertaining fight between the duo, I checked it out….well, how silly it is getting – Ekta's way of showing a dispute – childish😃

As for Pihu….seriously again a stereotype as if there isn't any other way to show the father/daughter connections….although, my MIL complains that my kids are malnourished all the time😉 – might be it is Ekta/India's way of show healthy kids…

No, no, Kalapi, I am sure your hubby does not have any ex-wives in his closet, but if he were to read this, he might become a tad worried about you!!!😉

As for fat kids, all grandmas feel that their grandkids do not get enough to eat, bless their doting souls!

As for your stated tendency to 'over-analyse', I love it , so over-analyse away, my dear, with my blessings. It is any day better than the terminally under-analysed scripts beloved of Balaji!

Shymala dear,

I agree with Kool, you must write dear. In fact, I haven't seen you writing much elsewhere, do write, love reading you. Besides, I actually welcome contrary views, it only allows me put forth an argument😆. Btw, did you see Aai Archana's mamta bhaav transformation on meeting her missing career criminal son of 18 yrs😆.. She wasn't shocked or grieved on the fate that has befallen her son or the future of this criminal son, or a bit frightened for her own life or that of people around...it was a Mamta trance that she lost whatever pea-size brain 😆she had and made her look at him with unadulterated love😆. Could love to hear you on this dhamakedar episode...

As for my hubby dear…🤣😉

My dear Kalapi,

I am really flattered by the compliments from you and Kools, and if I could, I would shoot off one of my 2 pagers on PR as it is today just to please you. But then I would be poaching on Kools' territory, for my own speciality is genuine emotion + tongue in cheek humour, not the kind of sharp satire that Kools does so well, and which I love reading. Right now, PR has nothing in my line, nothing at all. Everyone in it irritates me, and anything I might write would be so unpleasant that my regulars would be shocked, poor folks!

Far from writing anything about the latest episode, I must tell you that the fatuous expression of pseudo-beatitude on Archana's face made me feel distinctly queasy. That is just the right word. And then Manav gets there ahead of the clever cop; where was that chap? Surely the Darbhanga police have 2 jeeps (Vishnu had collared one)? And what on earth was Vishnu thinking of doing with this clingy female ( as he thinks,of course)?

Next, unless Vishnu's heart is on the right side of his chest, he is not shot anywhere vital, and there was no need for the doctor to make those sepulchral pronouncements. In fact I was waiting to be told that Vishnu needs about 6 bottles of a rare blood type that only Archana shares with him. Alas, that golden opening for her to demonstrate still more mamta seems to have been overlooked. In fact, I have been waiting for the Great Blood Donation scene ever since Arjun took two bullets, but the CVs are so disobliging!😉

As for the raving and ranting at Archana by both Balan and Varsha, it took not just the cake but the whole bakery. It was, if you will pardon the most unladylike profanity, bloody cheek from a woman who had kidnapped the kid and turned him into a Balan clone to be telling Archana that she and Manav were not fit to be Vishnu's parents. Then Manav's own pathetic display of self-hatred at the police station. Hiten was not up to this kind of tripe, and he looked most unconvincing.

All in all, it is not just going but plunging downhill, and pretty soon, Kools will tire of it too, being too intelligent for such tripe. Still, so long as she feels up to it, I shall have something good to read, if not to watch. The fact is, girls, that I have fallen out of love with Arjun - who was like a second Sasha (my son) for me till recently - and I never cared much for Purvi, and even less for the rest. So, it is in effect Adios, PR! It spares my nerves, plus it is also good for my wrist, which is nowhere near ok as yet.

Warm regards.

Shyamala
