laxmifan. ok, we won't tell you that ArVi love each other and that's why Archana supported them. I am happy that you know this. But do tell one thing. what should have Archana done to stay neutral in this case?
your options are as follows. you are also free to reject all these options and write your own idea.
1. Archana should have warned Poorvi from the day she became an adult that " beta whenever you feel like being in love with someone, please ask me. I will double check whether any of my daughters/relatives/friends loves him."
2. After Archana knew about ArVi, she should have flied to timbaktu with Poorvi for a year or so and spread a rumor that both of them died. Manav would have loved to sponsor that and by that time Ovi would have married the option less Arjun.
3. Archana should have threatened to commit suicide, so that Poorvi would have agreed to leave Arjun.
Come on reply to it.
Wow, I love the sarcasm! Ok, none of your options seem realistic so I'll throw my own in.
Firstly, the intial reason Archana was so upset about the Arvi relationship is because Arjun played both girls (who also happen to be sisters & Archana's daughters). Whether he meant to or not is irrelevant, he got engaged to one sister, while proceeding to romance the other sister. That is the main reason ARchana was against Arjun in the beginning. So i'm not sure what changed? Tell me what changed? Because he stood in the rain a few times outside their chawl professing his undying love for Purvi. Because, he wouldn't leave Archana alone and she put that lame challenge in front of him? What does him showing he can earn Rs 10,000 with his own hard work and name have anything to do with how he cheated Ovi? Accomplishing the challenge doesn't wipe away what he did to Ovi, Archana's own blood related daughter! She had no business putting a challenge in front of him and promising her daughter's hand in marriage in return when she was very clear that neither daughter should be with him. By putting this challenge in front of him, she is basically saying that "I'm not letting you marry Purvi because you have never worked a hard day in your life with your own name, not because you promised to marry Ovi and then betrayed her and also Purvi by hiding this relationship". It's like all of a sudden she didn't care that he promised to marry Ovi when he returned from India back to Canada (all the while he is romancing Purvi in India). It's like all Archana cared about is that he has to prove his self worth to win Purvi's hand. So in essence, she had already agreed to marry Purvi off to Arjun if he could earn the 10,000 rupees. By doing that, she basically ensured that she would give him Purvi's hand in marriage because we all know well and good that he was going to earn that 10,000 rupees come hell or high water. And Archana knew this too! Instead, the right thing to do would've been to tell Arjun, You made this mess, fix it! Go to my daughter Ovi, and apologize to her a million times if you have. Explain to her, pacify her, give her some time to absorb this shock, take some time to re-evaluate the situation, You and Purvi stay away from each other till the dust settles. There are so many better ways she could've handled the situatiion to show her support for both daughters.
Or, She could've stayed neutral by sticking to he original word, which is that he would marry neither one of her daughters. And then whatever happened after that, like if Purvi and Arjun chose to continue their romance against her wishes, then let it be so. But atleast she would've shown her other daughter, Ovi, that she cared about her feelings too and not just cared about Purvi and Arjun's feelings. The way she has accepted Arjun wholeheartedly after he has hurt Ovi so much is unbearable to watch. She picked an outsider to side with over her own daughter.
Let me end on this note, you said that Archana knew Arvi love each other and that is why she supported them. Then tell me why did she support FBDharmesh and Vaishu's relationship. It was very clear they did not love each other at all, he cheated her left and right and alreay had a wife Maduri and a kid. I thought Archana only always supported the TRUTH, where is the truth in that situation? Archana only sides with the truth if it benefits her family in any way!
