I would prefer DK rescuing her and then the two locking eyes as DK holds onto Archana who's in his arms and that's when Manav comes and says: Sir, I don't know how to thank you for this.
and then DK would say (still looking at Archana and Archana at him): After Aashna left I have not known what to do with my life but it was filled with Arjun's presence. But it was your eyes that I searched for those among the living.
Manav: Sir you have helped us a lot.
Archana (still looking at DK): our children have grown up and what is this that has happened to us? Why do I see a glimmer of hope in your eyes. You have indeed saved me.
Manav: Archana you're bleeding from the leg injury we need to get you to a hospital.
DK: We will go Archana.
Archana: Lets go.
That's when she would quietly pass out and then DK gets shot by one of the kidnappers and falls to his knees. Manav silently looks at them with tears in his eyes. He realises for the last time how life played a bad game with him and now his only love and best friend are gone and how DK had known Archana better than him cos even he too had once loved her.
