Fantastic post 👏This is EK's formula and younger generation are all for Feminism...Not for fairness in marriage or relationship..I also blame Men to lose their idendity.

PR was slightly different at the beginning imo. Yes, Archana was mahaan, suffered Savita's tortures. But Manav was not a sit-around-do-nothing sort of guy, he was supportive of Archana, her family. Told off Savita a few times. And generally stood his ground. But slowly they managed to butcher his character. Archana started becoming a Devi and Manav was left jumping from Mamma's boy to Joru ka Ghulam (well not really Ghulam, but you know what I mean).

Manav has always supported and stood by Archana people tend to forget but yes he has. They butchered his character when he started falling for tears, Manav tum kuchh karo and Karanjkar's problems...Manav was never momma's boy...He had to grow up at very young age and help his mother take care and raise younger siblings as father was bewda and did not earn much to run family...Or else why would Manav left studies??? Yes he became Joru and Karanjkar's ghulam..😳

And this is a pattern in PR. No man is strong. Every man can be swayed and can be shut (both for good reasons as well as bad).

I agree most men who were stroger became weakling after marrying into Karanjkar family daughter...Only one who never changed was FBD...😃

Right now, I think in trying to show Archana and Purvi's sanskaars and womanly superheroism, Savita's supervillainism, the tables were turned and Manav and Arjun came off looking either like wimps or idiots.

Yep I wrote same couple of weeks back on other similar topic..

They need to make a stronger storyline for the male characters. They ALWAYS do this in PR. Damodar is a wimp in front of Savita's kartootein. Vinod is a chameleon changing however Manjusha wants him to. Satish was ONE strong character but even then Varsha could change him with her naatak. The less I say about Manohar the better because he even ran away because he knew the fate of the guys in this show and when that didnt work, he died.

@ underlined...I strongly disagree on this statement with full respect 😳😃..Damo never became wimp...He never took care of his wife or children...Bewda was his life...As a matter of fact Savita took care of this drunkard..What kind of father was he to Manav, Vandu and Sachin...Its Savita who raised them all right..No other woman in PR especially Sulo or Archu would have put up with a husband like Damo...He praises Archana beyond and constantly throws Archu in Savita his wife;s face which is being so disrespectful to his marriage...Shame on a man like Damo...He should be 6 feet under instead of Mano...Although Mano ran away from Sulo once and now dead...No wonder he had ran away...Could not take those sanskar BS too long..😆

Agree Vinod has always been weak in front of Manju...But Manju never fed her Mayka's family on Vinod or her income...She could have by the same feminist views...Never made Vinod buy a house for Rassi...Manju earned side by side to Vinod and took care of family of 9...None of this Karanjkar daughters have done that for their married family-ILs...So Manju may be evil but she has held on to her family & marriage some how..Vinod needs to be bit strong and not so cry baby when he has to take a stand..No Bhabhi-Vahini can take constant SIL-Nanad's interference or her mahanta thrown in Manju'-Vinod's face by Sulo ...Besides Sulo never set manju straight when she created problems in Archu's maried life..

Satish was one who was the best and strongest male character in this serial and they butchered him beyond when he fell for Varsha's kaands...She not only killed his baby w/o his knowledge, but she hit MIL, SIster, kidnapped Soham twice and this time she probably have killed Soham..

Mano was the role model in how to be subserviant to wife...he was the puppet under Sulo's hands..She controlled them all..Never let Mano or even Vinod be the man they needed to...And Putting archana being the best up against all her other kids...No wonder they all are screwed up...Thanks to Sulochana sanskar ki devi..No wonder Mano had run away once...could not take sanskar galore...was too much for him to handle...Instead of dealing and setting Sulo and his daughters straight he decided to run away. 😳 and finally dead ultimate running away from Sulo 😆

No wonder they are not even there in the new PR banner I am yet to come across a strong male individual who stands his ground and whose character is consistent. Maybe DK - but thats only because we hardly see him. The more we see him, maybe he'll turn into a wimp too.

DK is good but he is also does Archana jaap constantly..Besides that he is alright..

The way he spoke abt Arjun-Purvi's love and accepted it as if it was no big deal...Yaar atleast feel something for the girl who your son was engaged to and the friend Manav who not only is your good friend but business partner...I think the sensitivity abt that was missing in his support to Arjun..Yes he should support his son but should also have the sensitivity to the other party.

I'm all for women empowerment, but please make Arjun or Manav into a strong character that can see right and wrong. Can stand up for their love or stand up to evil in general. It doesnt always have to be the woman to bear the pain. Or cause the pain.

Me too dear...But I am not at all for Feminism...I came from the era of MCPs and now it is the other way around of total feminism...We must find some medium ground to make relationships work..There is no 50/50..Some one has to give in lil more at a time...And not the same person..Take turns...Feed off of each other's strength and weaknesses..

Men in PR need to stand up to all evil, unfairness and have some idendity...

Both are wrong..Marriage is an equal partnership but does not mean 50/50. WIP always..
