Why don't these women stand up for themselves?

Hello friends, I'm a silent member of the forum, I love coming here from time to time to read everyone's thoughts on the show. There's a certain saying that I always think of when I watch this show "One who does not stand up against injustice is just as bad as the criminal himself." This is what I feel about Archana. How are we supposed to sympathize with her if she let's Savita and Sachin walk all over her? No one should talk the way Savita talks, no matter how old they are. If I was in Archana's place I'd be fighting for my rights instead of just crying all the time. Why is she listening to Sachin in the first place? Because of her promise to Sachin she is ruining Manav's, Teju's, Ovi's and her own life. I can't stand watching that Savita bad mouth everyone.

And then there's Purvi. She's supposed to be a modern Indian girl. Yet when Punni and Savita argue with her she's silent. I was so angry when she found out that Punni sent that MMS and she didn't say a
thing to her. Yet she's so quick to fight with Arjun? I'm not excited to see the episode when ovi slaps her, purvi will probably do nothing. I love this show, and I love the cast but I'm tired of seeing the innocent get abused for nothing and the villain always getting away with everything freely.

@TheRealDeal - The standard reply to questions like yours: The CVs like to show women who don't stand up for themselves and suffer torture because they think it brings up TRPs.

Archana is a character who has lost her charm long ago. She is equivalent to a devi in this show. Actually she is a devi, Archu Mataji. I'm kidding but I don't think you'll ever find an aswer to your question. I don't sympathize with her because she brings museebhat to herself.

As for Purvi, she will follow Archana and Sulochana's sanskaars and do as her mother does - keep her mouth shut when it's necessary to talk and open her mouth when she shouldn't interfere in others' business.

I agree completely with you guys. Purvi is getting on my nerves too, just like Archana. She needs that slap to jolt her out of her semi-conscious state.

I totally agree, Archana is suppose to be older and wiser but she's the same person that take abuse from her MIL. I wish she was a stronger character for the all the young women out there.

The PR team cannot handle too many things at the same time.

They have to be a lot of problems; from all angles - in everybody's lives.

Then the solutions will also happen all at once. Too difficult for the CV's brains to stagger the different plots.

Also, they cannot handle all the people at once - especially the men. They have to be sent on trips or disappear.

Sometimes even women have to disappear like Teju and Ovi had to be gone when Savita came.

So for now they will just create problems and more problems.

Wait when are they going to add the Soham/Varsha angle? Am sure very soon.

By the time the problems will be solved the viewers will have lost interest.

Just like when Archana found out about her daughters. No excitement. People are tired of the plots being prolonged and the same old dialogues mouthed again and again.

This show has started to disappointment me:

Savita has had a grudge with Archana ever since she was looking through the cupboards and found her name on all Manav's investments. If she would have addressed her concerns she would have found Archana had suggested to Manave to put his mother's name on the next investment.
When Manav was leaving India, if he wanted Archana to go to Canada with him why send his mother with the tickets. Wouldn't it have been better if he had pledged his love for her and invited her to go with him.
This thing about secrecy in order to save someone heartache is beyond me. Look at Archana now, if she would have told Tej she was her mother when she found out, this mess would not be happening. Ovi is the one who needs a ringing slap, she's not humble but plays very snobby.
Sodamar and Vandu are ridiculous, if you know the key to Manav's and Archana's happiness why would you keep the informtion you have away from Manav. Hellooo, no he's not gonna figure it out. Duh!!!!!
Why doesn't Archana go to work anymore? Maybe if she left the house Savita would have less time to torture her and it would eat her up if she left with Manav every morning.
Archana needs a wakeup call too, I don't care what the culture is in India nobody deserves to be humiliated like she has been. Sleep in the kitchen!!!!! How dare they, and Manav is just as bad to accept that. Archana was wrong with how she handled the Soham situation but she doesn't deserve the life she has. Sachin is a menace, his mother should appear and re-assure Archana that she has no interest in Manav and tell him how Savita poisoned his and her minds years ago.
IT'S TIME FOR THIS MADNESS TO END, SOMEBODY HAS TO GET RELIEF AND I HOPE ITS SOON. ALSO REMEMBER OVI INSISTED THAT ARJUN BE HER BOYFRIEND, HE HAD NO INTEREST IN HER. ITS NOT AN ARRANGED MARRIAGE SO HE SHOULD BE WITH HIS TRUE LOVE.
Whew, i needed to get that off my chest!!!!!!

Purvi is clearly in training as the next Archana...
