What happened in today's episode and what is to follow, after today's sbs segments, we all know. I kept ignoring messages in the forum, another Archana and Manav in the making, but I was wrong in doing so. I betrayed my own heart. The sacrifice will begin and soon.

"When the going gets tough the tough get going."

This quote has always applied to our handsome hero from Canada -- Arjun Kirloskar -- a man who charmed his way into our hearts by falling in love with the darling of our hearts, Purvi. He did everything possible, and as intensely as possible for a woman he finally knew he had fallen in love with. He took a direct rejection from her head-on. He feared no one when it came to confessing to her, in her locality, right in front of her house, in the midst of a community of strangers. He gave up his powers to his company to a woman he loved, cherished and one who had insensitively once rejected him. He told no one about his new found emotions and tears, and packed his bags to return to a country where he was raised. However, as destiny would have it, or his luck, Purvi, his lady love, realised her love for him before it was too late. He found her waiting outside the airport, crying, and the moment he saw her, he knew it was him she was crying for. His heart swelled in happiness, when he saw her blush, his lips cracked into smiles one after the other, when she nodded her head and said that she was happy he had not left India. His breath caught in his throat, when she said "I love you" to him. His dream had indeed come true.

A man who feared no one when it came to business and now in love, all of a sudden fell victim to a moment of cowardice or maybe simple shock. Yes, he displayed complete and utter helplessness at a crucial time. On the day when it so mattered, he just did not open his mouth and his heart. He did not defend his love, he saw the pain in Purvi's eyes, but did not do anything. Did he not remember how difficult it was to convince Purvi when she felt wronged? Did he not remember that she left him because of that one forehead kiss misunderstanding? and that she had rejected him outrightly, even after he had confessed. This engagement is a major wrong in Purvi's eyes and Arjun knows it. Had he said something there and then, Purvi would have understood. But standing there in a trance, and getting engaged, to another woman, was akin to plunging a knife into Purvi's heart, as was into his own.

However, he is human after all, and when the going got tough, Arjun Kirloskar, the braveheart crumbled. I shall wait for another time and another day, when Arjun returns to the intensity of love that can turn instances of cowardice/or perhaps shock into events of fearlessness. But Purvi, the love of his life, has slipped through his fingers, as the ring slipped into his finger.

My heart today goes out to Purvi Deshmukh. A lovely woman, who at the moment, has only memories to lean on and an inner strength, which I know will take her through the events which are to come next. She will freeze those loving emotions she yet feels and will not trust Arjun for a long time to come. She will also sacrifice herself for Ovi, that I am sure of, because of a debt she feels she owes to Archana and Manav. And for that she might show herself to be someone she is not, so as to gain disapproval in the eyes of Arjun, a man she so loves now.

Romeo and Juliet, the perfect couple, had an imperfect ending. Arjun and Purvi will now sacrifice for Ovi, someone who I don't think has made a place in our hearts, the way ARVI have. Ovi, never will make that special place in my heart. Never. Arjun, the man who dared to bare his heart, has changed into a putty in the hands of circumstances. The light of his courage has in this moment been taken out.

I hope Arjun and Purvi , the perfect couple, somehow, have the perfect ending, inspite of it all. I still have hope that Arjun will get out of his trance, and return to being a man of intense courage and bravery as we have always known him to be. And Purvi will not eventually turn into another Archana, and give away her love to Ovi as a present, because this love is not her individual possession but belongs to Arjun as well.

But Arjun, I believe from the sbs segment, goes on allowing Ovi to hug him in front of Purvi. Is this the love we were all craving to see? Is this what made ARVI so lovable? Is this the intense Arjun we all knew? Arjun allows Ovi to yell at Purvi? I am glad Sushant left the show. He would have stagnated here after a while, because sometimes in PR love is gagged and people sometimes find themselves hurt and saddened. Because men of honor and bravery all of sudden develop feet of clay. But I have some hope for PR, the sensitivity sometimes displayed by the overwhelmingingly deep characters like Archana, sometimes Manav and Purvi, at times Arjun, keep my heart attached to Pavitra Rishta. Because under all these layers of manipulation and sacrifices, is a river of love, which at times resurfaces and tells us that true love and bond surpasses all negativities.

I do still hope ARVI have it in them to climb out of the mess and find a way out of stifling relationships that mar true love.

P.S. -- I am sorry if I hurt anyone's sentiments. But I just shared my own. I do still love Pavitra Rishta, always will for showcasing true love as real as it can be.

Trish

Wow...that was very articulate and very nicely written. I know I will be on and off during the next couple of weeks because I won't be able to stand the sight of Ovi. But I will start watching the day Arjun blows up over her treatment of Purvi.

Thanks Arch.. I am deeply saddened today and since I love writing so much, I knew I had to say what was in my heart for ARVI. 😭
I will too start watching the day Arjun does something loud about his true love, in words and in actions.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts 😊 and wanted to let you know that you are not alone in feeling this way.
I've always made fun of my sisters for watching their respective shows and not really understanding the grasp the actors had over them. Fate played a joke on me I guess, it was my turn to get hooked.
I caught the end of of an episode in early January - was a scene between Arjun and Purvi - she bought some laptops to teach the older employees some new software and they were arguing about it. She bested him and he smirked at her and told her that he loved fighting with her.
The chemistry between them was simply sizzling. I started watching this show because of that one scene 😆 I went back as far as I could to catch up and I was instatntly hooked. I do really like Archana and this she's an amazing actress but to be honest if the episodes don't have some ArVi interaction - I really have no zeal to watch it. I surprised myself by how quickly I got so attached to this when its so not like me.
I too have really high hopes for the Arjun character. I loved his arrogance and defiant attitude. I loved it when Purvi brought him down to level and I fell in love right along side them. I really hope that his character rebounds to that man - self confident and committed to his love.
Purvi is also another strong character for me. I liked her no-nonsesne attitude and brilliant flare of self belief when she stood up not only to Arjun but to Sachin as well. I just hope the integrity of these two are not compromised for the sake of fake relationships.
I guess in some way we are all addicted to a certain kind of sadness because most of us seem to gravitate towards the lovelorn characters instead of the ridiculously happy ones. The producers are well aware of that fact and it obviously shows in the ratings. "The greatest pain that comes from love is loving someone you can never have" Khalil Gibran. Things get better to get worse and the inane cycle repeats. We just need to hold on for the ride.
I heard a song this morning that made me think of Arvi - it was Mat Ho Udaas from the movie Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe. I believe in them. I support them and it may be a while but true love ALWAYS wins in the end. If it doesn't it wasn't a pavitra rishta to begin with...
Hang in there 😉
Much luv - Laurie :)

Thanks for sharing yours Laurie :)
Liked them.😊
Well, I am not watching any PR on TV in the coming weeks. I will read updates here on IF. I currently don't think I can be a part of the separation track. It is just a bit overboard for me. Purvi in the same office as Arjun, having to see Ovi with him, at all times mostly, would be something I don't have the tolerance to take. I cannot see Ovi illtreating Purvi in anyway.
Arjun has gone into the zone of silence right now, and it will be while before he comes out of it. Something earth shattering will again have to happen to shake him out of his trance.

Trish.. Even now I am thinking that Arjun is such a kind of boy who is accustomed in being rejected.

he loved something & always wanted to get it at any cost. We have seen that in Shiv temple he said the almost same thing..

He may love Purvi..he may like Purvi..but he cant value people. he cant value relationships!!!

sacrifices & all is very natural for Purvi, but Arjun should make her understand that it is their life and no one has the right to take decision.

I must say that everyone is so holding such a misconception that both of them are being engagement at their own wish & I must say that Arjun has already given such impression to all..he is making all of them fool..he is a big cheater..

I also used to love AK a lot..but now I cant if I try...This I personally think..but you may hold a different opinion.

I know what you are saying..
I am not really madly in love with Arjun's character as of now .. in fact, I'd love to say a few mean things about him, and I have said what I had to say before. But well, I am kind of turning my back to his silence/shock/cowardice as of now. Waiting if something will shake him up once again.
Purvi will sacrifice, we all know that. But Arjun was the one we were looking up to. He really let us down today.
