I agree completely with your assessment, and this is not just because you have been so kind about my posts!
I see that there is a great deal of acute disappointment and fury among our members at Arjun for not having announced at the party that he could not go in for the engagement with Ovi.
I think all this is premature. We have first to have the facts, which in this case means seeing the episode in full ourselves. I have not seen the SBS segment (how does one access these? ), but you have noted that someone literally lifted his finger and Ovi pushed the ring on to it, and another post even mentioned that in the SBS segment, Manav appeared to be putting the ring on Ovi's finger.
It is all very unclear, and I still cannot believe that anything could compel Arjun to go ahead with the engagement willingly. I cannot see how Purvi could have compelled him to do so either, as neither of them would have known about it in advance.
In any case, to call Arjun a two-timer, as one post says and another endorses, is nonsense. He has tried, from the minute he realised that he loved Purvi, to tell Ovi about it and sever their relationship. That he could not manage to do it for one reason or another is a different thing. Even today, he wants to tell DK about it at once, but it does not work out. So, it is totally incorrect and unfair to say that he is a two-timer, but it is perhaps natural that people get so worked up about a pair they care so deeply about.
Nor can one say he does not love Purvi. That is equally baseless, especially after we saw the last few episodes. It is also an unshakeable fact that Arjun and Purvi are the new romantic pair, and nothing is going to change that either. So those who are looking for a new pairing for Purvi can spare their efforts.
I do not know how the chips are going to fall, but I am still not willing to give up on Arjun. He loves only Purvi, and he will work his way round to getting her in the end. How long that takes is up to the CVs.

I still have hopes for Teju though. For some reason I get the inkling that she is going to play some part in our favor. Ive watched her in the last episode and the way she was talking she definitely was not at all convinced about Arjun's feelings for Ovi.I think when Archu comes to know she will stand with Purvi. That's the funny thing with twins and a different story track too that will be very interesting, Teju is so sweet, humble, adventurous and endearing while Ovi looks down her nose at the language, idea of staying in crawl,wears skimpy clothes, etc. Archu already was shocked at her pics, inability to wear sari, and if she maintains this attitude Archu will find it tough to relate to this daughter of hers.Arjun will do something...I am pretty sure of it...but u have to see from his shoes...it was a total and complete shock of unexpected proportions. Also keep in mind Purvi's dignity...he cannot expose her in a public setting like that in that moment...u guys have to realize that it would have actually been very damaging for her given the circumstances of everything.
