Sugar the name of the show is Pavitra Rishta...they're showing us what it means to have true and pure love in our lives...love can come at any age...and its bond is forever, regardless of what happens to and in the relationship nothing can weaken such a bond. And Archana is NOT 50+ in the show...she should be around 40-45 if my calculation is correct. She would have gotten married around 18 to 20 years of age and 18 years have lapsed...

Lovely update Tanya di...missed the epi tonight will post my comments if I get to catch its repeat tomorrow.

Poppy di...you seemed to started fancying Arjun guy. 😆 I kinda think he is overacting ki dukaan. 😳 But he is good looking and has style...can understand why a lot of girls like him.

But why aren't Archana Manav sons taking the limelight in the show? To me Sachin is as good as their son...however he disappointed me with his selective memory.

I still maintain that love is different at age 50 than it is at age 20+.
Yes, one can love at any age. On tv news, we sometimes see stories of persons who loved each other in high school and for one reason or the other, didn't get married to each other. Years later, when they are in their 60's. 70's, and even 80's, they meet again and their love is rekindled. Ofcourse they are now free, i.e. widowed etc.
Looking at them you can tell they love each other, but it is a matured love, not the "I can't live without you" type of love, with them not wanting to eat, not being able to think of anything or anyone else, etc.
This is what bugs me about the "love" between Archana and Manav at this stage of their lives.
They can only think of each other and disregard other important issues and the other important people in their lives!
Archana is in her 50's. She got married at about age 24/25. There were leaps totalling around 25 years (when all are added together, including this one), plus the "realtime" years, i.e. when things happened in normal time. So, whichever way you look at it, she is in her 50's. Ekta says Archana is in her 40's, but obviously addition is not one of Ekta's strengths.

I don't have a problem at all if Archana is still shown madly in love with her husband .It is a show about romance and love so that will always be there ..In the famous show Thorn Birds also the same thing had happened ...
I just have a problem that she is not getting angry with what had happened .She should also question manav why her girls hate her so much ..She should be angry with him about this ...
I am very certain about one thing and that is that the emotional fool Archana will be hart broken after hearing of the divorce and it will be Purvi who will give her strength to go and fight for the injustice that is being done to her and fight back for her family , don't just give it all up in the name of love .

The director and the writer is not thinking that much aboutthe age and the numbers right now , that is why Manav and Archana are still looking so young ...
The TRPs are high when their track is shown so that is why maybe ..The important thing wil lbe the way Archana will fight back ...( I hope that is what the track will be)
We talk more about the age at the forum here , the writers are not that concerned ...

To the discussion going on...I too would like Archana to finally transit to the mother from the lover. Too much has passed for the old story to repeat and the love to weigh more than other things of life.

I wish Archana to think more of her children than Manav...she's separated from them too you know. Two girls that she could not even feed, a son whom she nurtured in young age and a son who has been missing for years.

When a woman becomes mother...everything else ceases for her. Archana fails to be the complete woman by not going through the transition. Her journey as a woman seems to have ended at Manav.

I am very sure that first Archana will be heart broken and just give up ( like she did before ) but now she has Purvi, she will give Archu the confidence to go and fight back and not to take injustice quietly ..
Purvi wil lgive Archu strength to go and fight Savita and get her family back .
