Star Plus increases gap with Colors; Zee TV soars high

Zee TV inches closer to Colors; misses the 2nd spot by 2 GRPs in the week 25 of TAM 2011.

With a strong contribution from the launch episode of its big ticket reality show Just Dance, Star Plus has bounced back in the week 25 of TAM 2011. Star Plus has increased the gap with Colors while Zee TV has come closer to Colors although Colors has lost a mere 9 GRPs in this week.

👏👏Zee TV's Pavitra Rishta has topped the chart with 5.2 TVRs👏👏 followed by Balika Vadhu (4.5), Saathiya (3.8), Just Dance (3.7) and Uttaran (3.5).

India's No.1 Hindi general entertainment channel Star Plus has strengthened its position by adding 37 GRPs this week. The channel launched dance reality show Just Dance on Saturday which has contributed well to the overall GRPs for the week. In the week 25 of TAM 2011, Star Plus has recorded 284 GRPs this week (last week 247).

The second most watched Hindi GEC Colors has also lost a few GRPs but managed to retain its position. Colors has recorded 230 GRPs on this week (last week 239).

The No.3 Hindi GEC Zee TV has soared high and added 20 GRPs this week to come closer to COLORS. Zee TV has garnered 228 GRPs on TAM people meters in the week 25 (208 GRPs last week).

Sony Entertainment Television has managed to hold the eyeballs this week and recorded 161 GRPs (last week 163).

Losing 10 GRPs in the 25^th week of TAM 2011, SAB has recorded 138 GRPs (last week 148).

No.6 player Imagine TV is holding its audience this week. The channel has recorded 89 GRPs (last week 90).

Star One has garnered 38 GRPs (last week 37). Sahara One is at 28 GRPs (last week 32).

If last week then it makes sense I suppose cuz there was so much hype about the leap so naturally people were curious and tuned in to watch.
