di, if you notice a lot of Archu fans have stopped coming to the forum too.The general feeling is that when Manav or any other characters does something its the writers who has butchered the character but when it comes to Archana, the character itself bears the brunt.I may be wrong but that is how I interpreted the writer's meaning.
I don't think so Omana . I have seen tremendous criticism of Manav as a character . His character has borne equal brunt of criticism . For committing to Shravani . I have seen it all along .
If you are saying that when Manav does something wrong it is said Manav is butchered but when Archu does something wrong its never said so ...It will happen that way only . Coz Archana CANNOT be butchered . she is the MAIN LEAD . All others will be butchered for HER , thats how it WORKS . It were we who were MISTAKEn that it was an ARMAN show with equal footage to both . We had totally forgotten it was a BT soap ...a saas bahu kinda soap where the Tulsis , Parvatis and Archanas will NEVER be butchered but the male leads WILL be . Thats FORMULA for u . PR has today safely fallen in that slot , no one can dispute it .
Archana , as I see it , has NOT been butchered AT ALL . And trust me , she won't be . Her character is what it is ...attached to Sulochana , guided by sulochana , foolish , naive , emotional and perpetually guilt stricken . Thats how she WAS and thats how she is .
Manav was WAY different and is WAY different today . He was responsible , committed to his family , loved Archana quietly but never wavered from responsibility . Today we see him wavering from even the responsibility of his OWN SON . Not to mention how he neglected his parents when seperate . How he was made to put sindoor in Shravnis maang etc so sympathy cud be given to the main lead ...The female heroine . As the Weeping female lead is the archetype heroine of serial land .
Today we simply see him PRAISING her or APOLOGSING to her . If at all he shouts , its ensured that the apologies r MAGANIMOUS. Rose petals r showered on her or the apology is PUBLIC . The Tulsis , Parvatisand archanas can NEVER be wrong , the male lead HAS to accept his mistake .
Archu has NOT changed . Manav HAS . Even the richness change was connstantly referred to negatively by CVS ...with dialogues like TUM BADAL GAYE HO . It was emphasized and emphasized that Archana has NOT CHANGED . I am not telling what I feel subjectively . These r FACTS that I see .
And this brought home a fact ...that OU R expectations were higher . It is a BT soap and THIS will only happen . There is no question of being unfair to Archu and stating Manav was butchered but not she etc ...AISA HI HOTA HAI . This their formula .
As far as Archu fans leaving the forum ...Really , I guess even many ARMAN fans have left post leap as now serial only sucks ?? But Manav Fans I noticed , left much before as they grew tired of Manav simply playing second fiddle to Archna . i may be wrong of course . Just my observation .
