What goes up comes down! Ask the makers of Zee's most popular daily show Pavitra Rishta which has seen a recent dip in its ratings. After being the No 1 show across all GECs recently the show has slipped with Bidaai regaining its lost power. Looks like Manav-Archana's divorce did not go down with the audiences who hoped and prayed the couple got back together by all means.

TellyChakkar spoke to the cast of Pavitra Rishta to know what they felt had gone wrong with the show:

Sushant Singh Rajput (Manav) says, "I do not know the mechanics behind the system of TRPs. I do know that after the Manav-Archana divorce people were hoping they will get back with each other. All I can say is probably the audiences did not like the divorce. We are working on the script post the leap in the show, let's see what happens."

According to veteran actress Savita Prabhune, who plays Sulochana, Archana's mother, "I don't think it is because of the divorce track. One of the reasons could be the FIFA World Cup that is going on. I know our loyal viewers are still hooked onto the show."

One of the most loved characters, Savita Tai played by Usha Nadkarni says," I think one of the reasons could be the focus on other characters more than Archana and Manav's characters. The track had focused on Varsha's separation and all of that so people missed the fun element and the small nok jhoks in the show. But now I guess the flavour will be back after the leap and the audiences will enjoy the show once again."

Meanwhile, Pooja Pihal aka Shravani refused to comment on the same.

We also spoke to Sukesh Motwani, Head of Programming (Fiction) who says, "I don't want to comment on this, you should wait."

Meanwhile Sukriti Saxena, Creative Head of the show says, "It could probably be the divorce track. But I also think since Bidaai has had a lot of drama with Sadhana's death which for them. However we are working on our track now and things will improve soon."

Well considering the trend of the soaps these days, the viewers can't do much but wait for the upcoming twists to hook them on to the show again!

Bechari Pooja has nothing to say, probably finds it weird that her pair with her 'Manao' has affected the TRP's so badly!

fantastic article . I loved the answer given by savita . She knows well that it is focussing on Shravani that has caused the problem ( even though she obviiously did not take her name ) .

Poor Sushan t, he knows the reason but does not know what to do . I don't agree with salochna's reason because other shows are doing well too and the matches do not come at the time of the seriel ...

the creative head is acknowledging that it could be because of the divorce ...I am so happy that people have taught these fools a lesson and now they are in in trouble and trying to clean the mess they have created .

But from the looks of the show , they are making another big mess ..

By getting Manav and Shravani living as husband and wife .

Bymaking Archana still in love with him ... even though it look like he has moved on .

By making young guys like Manav and Archana budha budhis , craddling babies instead of having some fun together ...

By making Shravani look like Archana in her kind of a get up .

It is all for the love of Shravani that this show has gone down .. I am very very happy today ..

tha tPooja , why did she not comment . She has become a big Star now , showing more attitude than Sushant , savita and Salochna ...

NOw I guess TRPs will come back as Choo has left the house and left our Deary Manan for Archu.

I don't know... but somehow I really don't like Pooja Pihal. Seems very kiddish to me, crying and all- "children don't talk to me...waanwaanwaan"

Thanx for the article....

No body from the creative dept. is ready to accept the truth😡..It is and IS solely their fault that the ratings have come down...and now this leap!! they are making more messier than before...even the remaining loyal viewers will quit the show if they keep on showing rubbish....

the poor actors hav to cover up evrytime for the mistakes of their team....

Me too Nicki . I also don't like her . I am sensible enough not to take their real lives as their characters but this girl is annoying me now . there are other very talented actors in the show and they do not complain and demand to be loved this way . She wants the attention that is given to Ankita Lokhande .

I think she is taking her character of Shravani too seriously .

ajit is more evil than Shravani , still he was made Star Of The day twice becauseof his acting .He was enetertaining and he sort of made us laugh ..No one hates the actor at all ..In fact we miss him when he doesn't come ..

I think even Sushan t is not all that happy about Manav being stuck with this woman ...He is in touch with the script writers now , so it seems .. About time he should put some pressure , he is a big celebrity , surely he must have some say .

Well Nikki some of the comments on the forum too are personal for her, i think some have taken it very seriously!

People should understand that its just a show at the end of the day, and the actors and actress shouldn't be targetted at all!!

If some one potrays the role of a god he/she turn god in real life too according too people, the guy who played Krishna bhagwan in the show Mahabharath was really made a demi god out of him!!!

So people do take it seriously, few days back Sushant was at the receiving end for not accepting Archana back... So sentiments run high...

Imagine someday back also they abused the character in a derogratory manner😭

One gets away so much accoloades the other is crucified, its not called for she is not the one to blame for the miseries in Arman's life..

lack of trust i call it!!!
