Downfall of Pavitra Rishta
A successful show is often the one that keeps its viewer intrigued with the story. When the initial plot doesn't work, then drastic changes are required to create a shock value that invariably attracts more viewers. However, when you're ruling the roost, a drastic change might affect the show in the long run. That's precisely what is happening to Zee TV and Balaji Telefilms' show Pavitra Rishta which has fallen from the top spot to number 17, all in a matter of a week.

Of course it has...and we knew that once Manav and Anchana have separated that the rating would drop.
No one wants to see Choo and Manav...We want Manav and Anchana...
Bring them back together and the rating will once again be high...

What is all this talk about the original plot not working? The show was doing just fine before the writers decided to have Manav divorce his wife to marry a woman who was pregnant with his brother's child!
