OKay guys....One salad that I made just recently learned from my daughter. She got it from a friend. It is a bit time consuming because there is a lot of cutting in small pieces...believe me it is worth it and SO EASY to make. I could never find the right recipe for this salad until this one.
Tabbouleh
Ingredients: (makes about 4.5 cups)
1/3rd cup Bulgur, fine grind
Water, to cover
2 cups fresh Parsley finely chopped
1 cup English Cocumber with peel, finely chopped
3/4 cup Tomato, finely chopped
1/2 cup Red Pepper, finely chopped
1/4 cup Green Onion, finely chopped
1/4 cup Radish, finely chopped
1 tsp dried mint leaves (or fresh leaves, 1 tbsp)
1/4 cup Lemon juice
1tbsp Olive oil
1/2 tsp salt (to taste)
Measure bulgur into small bowl. Add water. Stir. Let stand for about 20 minutes until tender. Drain well and set aside
Put next 7 ingredients into medium glass bowl and toss to mix.
Combine remaining 3 ingredients in small glass cup. Drizzle over parsley mixture. Add bulgar and toss until coated.
(one cup has 88 calories only)

I had this when I went to Dubai!! I was not paying attention to the food at that time bcoz I had a pretty bad migraine nd I had been traveling for 15 hours nd the noise nd the food smell was just making me puke 🤢

I will try it!! My mom was looking for the recipe too!

Oh Sid....migranes are really bad from what I hear.
I really feel sorry for you for not enjoying your trip.
Don't eat dark chocolates and no red wine and no "old" cheese.

Well gud for me that I dont drink wine nd can never drink it😆

The doctor told me to avoid chocolates, coke, pizza, tea, coffee, cheese I can eat them but I shud avoid them when I hav a headache or when I hav stress.

Migraines r really bad I once almost vomited in my economics lecture (nd then at home). I just went to the washroom nd told my mom to pick me up from uni. She left me there 15 mins ago. I had migraine for a few days That was the worst I ever had.

I was actually going to Pakistan nd we stopped in Dubai for just a few hours. I had migraine the whole flight nd I just hate the smell of the food nd the smell was making me more sickI cudnt even sleep nd I didnt hav my medicine. it was horrible! nd i didnt even hav my mom😭 i was travelling with my brother nd sister nd i was their mommy

Oh Sid, poor kid...I am really feeling bad...
Does massage help around neck and shoulders? There must be some pressure points to give relief?
My BIL, husband's brother's wife, has migranes and on the onset she goes straight to her dark bedroom and sleep for few hours and then comes out. Gives her some relief but not completely. I knew some people in my past work who really had a hard time managing migranes.
I take tylenol right away and my headache goes away, thank God that I don't have migranes but I can't stand a regular headache. I really wish that your migranes go away Sid....

Thanks Tulsey! i also take tylenol for migraine nd tough headache as soon as I feel I hav a bad headache.

Massage helps a bit but the pain doesnt go away. The doctor said stop migraine b4 u get warna us k baad faida nahi. I take medicine nd go to sleep. Its mostly bcoz of stress. I get them less frequently now thankfully. trying to stay cheerful😆

Cassava (Yuca) Pone


Ingredients

4 cups grated sweet cassava

1 cup grated coconut

1 cup grated pumpkin

1 cup brown sugar

1 tsp ground spice

tsp nutmeg

2 tbps melted butter

2 cups milk

1 tsp baking powder

1 tsp vanilla essence

1 ground cloves

Directions
  1. In a large bowl combine all ingredients.
  2. Transfer to a greased 8 inch square baking dish in a 350 degree F over until brown and firm to the touch.
  3. Cut into small squares and serve.

Coconut Bread Trinidad

3 c flour

1 tsp salt

1 c sugar

1 c evaporated milk

1/2 c unsalted butter -- melted and cooled

1 tbsp baking powder

2 c finely grated fresh coconut

1 large egg -- well beaten

1 tsp vanilla

sugar to sprinkle on top


DIRECTIONS:

Sift flour, add baking powder and salt. Stir in coconut. Combine egg, milk, vanilla and butter. Make a well in the dry ingredients. Pour liquid into the well. Stir lightly but thoroughly and pour into 2 greased 8 or 9 inch loaf pans, filling pans about 2/ 3 full. Sprinkle the top of the batter with sugar. Bake at 350 F for about 55 minutes or until they test done.

Notes: I have used packaged coconut instead of the fresh but found a little more liquid was needed. Also the flavor was not quite as good but still passable.

Sid, Dear abt your migranes as I was ex-Migrane patient too...Have u been tested for Allergies? If u have not do get tested...You will get all your answers...Meds and Shots might help and eventually u will grow out of it....For allergies one can get accupuncture for relief...You dont need to suffer...I did for yrs...Migranes and than allergies but finally I am done...Nw if I ever get sinus pressure headache I have learned to message my pressure points on face and instant relief...Just thought I share something similar to what u r going thru...Really feel for ya girl...😳 🤗
