Tulsey , it's not about being kind . If they are treating you with respect and being fair and doing a good job then why should we not treat them also fairly ...

My husband works somewhere , I have worked so much ...isn't that the same ...work is work ...

Yes Tanya it is reciprocal.

Remember I had mentioned early on when I joined PR that my hubby and I had taken on a task to give education to the kids who came from a very poor family but had the desire to study and get good grades?

Well, one girl was given the opportunity and after 3 years of giving her the best education in english medium the girl started to slack off and did didly shit and was coming almost last in her class. We used to encourage her and get her extra help on homework because we knew that she had in her to achieve big time. The girl just did not study and dily dallied and even her mother used to scold her and often tell us on the phone to tell her to study.

We gave her one more year to improve her grades and finally we gave up this year. The mother did not have the funds to send her to school so she has been sitting at home doing nothing. We got a call from a known person and he was pouring on my husband telling us why we stopped funding.

The only thing is that no matter how helpful you want to be or you are, the other side has to and has to understand the importance behind it and not take it for granted. It really hurt us that this brilliant kid who got the opportunity just blew it.

i have had my fill with maids...cant seem to get one that doesnt steal, down to my cutlery have gone missing..these maids are really sly..

My mom was like you ...this brave Pathan woman ....

She and my sistrs were fed up with me... Everytime we would go to a wedding and there was a family foe or someone . my mom , sisters , aunt they would all say ' Keep an eye on her , she will be the first one to go and greet her and sweet talk to her' .

Some ways I can identify with Archana as she too is a pleaser ....but she is a much better human being . I have my bad days and they are very bad ....

I don't think so dear .That Im a better person .at all .

The truth is each one is unique U are too .. And u have such a loving and soft heart .I told u what I did with my maid [ She is happily married in Goa now] only coz u told me abt urs . Not coz Im better at all . I have many , many faults .....one of them being a quick impatient temper . My mother was like u ....exactly .She worshipped My dad .....I have not seen such Pati Bhakti anywhere else . Im more like my grandma.my mom's mom ..who was soooo unlike her own daughter .She was practical and we both hit it off . Then I met my ma in law who influenced me a lot with her practical thinking . My grandma and my motherin law influence me a lot .

But my mom wud have liked it if I was like u .She says Women shud be like that only . She says its their speciality that makes the world run smoothly . I am a source of worry to her .😊

I know what you mean Tulsey . I have had bad experiences as well. The bangles that my grandmother gave me for my wedding got stolen by the one I had before Reena ..

But Reena was something else . So professional . She was so efficient and worked hard and it was lovely to have her around as she was a very happy sort of person ..

I never taught her studies bu tI did teach her every possible dish that I knew ...she did not know that much cooking when she came to me and by the time I left , she could open a small dhabba and do a business on her own ...

She never cheated me ever ...my boys liked her and she was very well kept , I mean I made sure she would use deo and always had her hair done nice , wore clean clothes ..

I remember that got her sunglasses as it is so hot in Bahrain ...poor girl was so shy of wearing sunglasses as if I had told her to wear a bikini or something ...she refused to wear them...

that is why I loved her so much , she was a special girl ...I am sure she is doing well where ever she is ..
