long hair does look nice but must be hard to maintain...

my hair is shoulder length..naturally curly so I use straigteners...

dont know about hair extensions..dont you have to have them redone every few weeks?.

surely alot of care is for the extensions

my understanding is that extensions affect the follicles or the roots. not sure. but as a reuslt when you stop wearing them they cause hair loss or something. See jeniifer aniston. she used hair extensions in last couple of seasons. she sais her hair was never the same again.

anyways I am not really an expert in this area but something I read.

My hair is wavy and shoulder lenght too. It used to be long but I ahev been straightening for almost 7 years now and my hair is badly affected. before I used to straighten about 2 times a week now I do it two times a month and braid my hair up rest of the time. that has helped reduce the hair loss.

It was really wierd but I have always braided my hair like the way Archana used to braid hers before marriage (i.e. remember when she wore the green sari on the train) and so I thought it was happy weird seeing how well it looked on her.
