This show doesn't seem to be going anywhere, they've spent an entire week reiterating the situation.
Is it that time of the month for Archana? I know she's always emotional, but she's been a bit excessively so for the past three episodes. When Manav came in and sat on his bed a few days ago, she went super dramatic on him. He didn't even look that sick, but she was shaking and crying. Then today, when he said he sold his bike, she was moved instantly to tears. Contrastingly, she showed uncharacteristic restraint when Savita was setting Shravani straight at the dinner table and also when Manav quite blatantly said that he doesn't really want to divorce her. It reminds me of when Hope wrote that a joint was found in Archana's corner of the kitchen. I found that really funny, but I don't think she already has one; rather, someone needs to get her some. A joint, a bong, any type of dope, perhaps some downers, and while they're at it they should bring Manav some psychedelics, it seems like he would enjoy the escape. 😆
While it was a really awkward situation, it was a relief to see Archana and Manav just letting Savita handle Shravani. Archana sat with an odd expression of guilt mixed with innocence, whilst Manav changed expression from person to person: he seemed fazed by watching Savita defend Archana, then gave Archana that normal longing look, and whenever he looked at Shravani it looked like he wanted to punch her jaw in so she would shut up.
I didn't really listen to Manav and Damodar's conversation, but two things occured to me. 1) Manav and Damodar look kind of funny standing together; its 5'[less than 6]" Damodar with his son towering above him at six feet. 2) Sushant seems to have lost weight due to recent bouts of illness, he looked the way he used to at the beginning of the show. Its good for him in the long run, although its not the preferred way to lose weight, as the chubbiness (around the face especially) was not suiting him.
Archana, Vandita, and Varsha seem to all have the same red sari with green border, except with different blouses. All three also wore it within the first-ish week of marriage. I am not looking forward to seeing Manav in that weird dull aqua shirt next week, I quite liked this red and grey one.
That's all I've essentially watched in the past week, the Varsha-Ashwin-Bhavna-Rasika-etc track is predictable and doesn't interest me and the Karanjkars talk too much sometimes.
I wonder if the divorce will really happen. The writers left us with a cleverly ambiguous dialogue today. This (within context of the show) is real life, where the divorce (in their opinion) would happen, but it is also a show, where the writer can add a twist and stop the divorce at his/her whim. As much as I dislike doing so, I must admit it is a good way to keep people alert and interested in the show.
