Hi guys!

Seems I've missed out on a lot of discussion. Besides, I think I was in demand here. Here I am.

Hope, that was the first thing which crossed my mind. If he is suffering from dehydration, weakness etc, why check for malaria? Then read that he is shivering, has fever with chills etc. Malaria and dengue are such diseases that are suspected first and foremost when a person comes with fever- especially in a country like India. Even in our govt. hospitals, if you go with fever and shivering, first thing the doctor suspects is malaria- it is that common. Always.

And so I understand they are going according to the symptomatology.
i.e. fever with chills.

But yeah, dehydration and overexertion are not causes of his condition- they are just factors that have alleviated it to a bad extent- the body's immunity has suffered and he caught the disease (if it is indeed malaria/dengue).

Again, malaria/dengue does not develop suddenly in a minute. According to a report that I read, Sushi fainted and had to be taken to hospital. My question- when he already had fever, why was he shooting? If he fainted, it means his condition was really pathetic.Sushi boy has clearly been careless about his health. He deserved a whack from his Mom.

Hope that helps, Hope

On a different note, I'm really surprised that it takes 2-3 days for tests reports of malaria to come out in Canada etc.

Maybe cos malaria is not such a havoc there as it is over here. Here TB and malaria are very common.

Malaria reports in India are obtained on the very same day. There is also a test that tells you within 15 minutes if you have malaria, but that is a screening test only that tells you yes/no only and does not give much details. The doctors are going with the complete test report it seems. Good. Treatment is faster.

I suppose all the journalists called ekdum jaldi jaldi or at the same time. If some of them had waited for even 3-4 hours, maybe the reports would have come out.

Hope Sushi boy gets well soon.

BTW, I can understand that they will make him disappear from the PR scene for a few days, but how is he going to handle ZNKD? Replacement dancer??? The thought is so disappointing, Sushant will be crushed.

Thanks for all the clarification Nikita. I had no idea malaria was that common in India.
He fainted? How many articles are there about this event, I find something new with each one. Do you remember where this one was from? I hope his mother comes from Delhi and knocks some sense into him.

I don't know remember exactly too TB. I read it somewhere and now I don't remember where. I hope I don't start another round of rumours here.

Even if he didn't faint, comeon, he should have started taking rest- if he had to be RUSHED to hospital, it means his condition was bad. People don't need to be hospitalized for malaria all the time. I had it and I rested at home.

Then again, he lives alone and has no one to look after him and provide him 'ghar ka khana'. Hospital seems to be his only resort.

I hope his friends from PR are looking after him.

Niki, if u r in a hospital nd in emergency then u get the reports the same day in Canada. It depends how serious u r. the more serious u r, the faster the reports come. I said 2-3 days for a regular/normal blood test. For example, I got my blood test done some days ago with my family doctor nd the reports came bak 2 3 days later. I was not serious. The Canadian health system is a bit slow i hav to admit (but its pretty good too) but thats bcoz its free for the citizens nd the # of patients is very high compared to the doctors. Some years ago my mom was diagnosed with Hepatitis C nd her treatment started abt 4 6 months later (but she was in the very initial stages nd it was not life threatening at that time) The doctors wud never delay the treatment or any test if its life threatening bcoz they can lose their licence or whatever if the patient dies or something happens to them bcoz of the doctor. nd its very expensive here if u get sued😆 Doctors dont like to take that chance.

Same here Sid.

How much time a blood report will take depends on the test which is being done. MAlaria reports are obtained fast.

Other tests reports timings vary.

Many times the results come out fast but the whole procedure or report coming to you takes time.

In Indian govt. hospitals also treatment is free or very cheap(and they are okay, but not the best where hygiene is concerned) and patient to doctor ratio is very high. Suing of doctors is less here, but yes, doctors do get beaten up a sometimes when the patient gets agitated- specially after loss of a loved one.

I think the shooting for competition type shows goes on continuously. I saw a shooting of a singing competition in Pakistan. It was very organized nd all the singers sang. It was just like how u watch it onTV, just the cameras were flying around😆 They shot 2 episodes in one day. . One episode was abt 4 5 hours (if i remember correctly. it was not that long or maybe i enjoyed too much😆) It was a show something similar to Indian Idol. I assume thats how they shoot for ZND but since it was the 1st episode, maybe, it took them longer to shoot.

😆😆

Thanks for the compliment Sid, but yeh thoda zyada hai.

when I suffered from malaria, I was in class 5.😆 My mom was taking care of me.

And doctors always need other doctors to handle them- so that the treatment can be done in an unemotional, practical manner. In fact doctors are the worst patients bcos they know the side effects of the drugs being given to them and the complications of the tests and procedures being performed on them. They tend to get hyper and nervous. A normal patient is easier to handle- woh kehte hain na- ignorance is bliss.

And you know what- 3 years after medical school, and right now I know very little- I mean I know everything about the disease- but haven't seen many cases of it or handled them myself- from food to medicines. Till that clinical practice is not there, the bookish knowledge is useless. Only the clinical practice gives you confidence to handle cases on your own or prescribe medicines.

😆😆😆
