I prefer the hero , if at all he stands in the balcony , to hold the railings tight till his knuckles go white and stare stonily and impassively down . Wrestling with his passions and principles . Of course , this is MY PERSONAL CHOICE.

Remember the engagement-? He was sitting like a dead body. After the engagement he cried in front of Archana saying that it pains me, but I don't know what to do? Again....sounds like a girl getting married with coercion from parents and hence I had called him Dulhan Manav[ remember ] ?

When Shravani talks back or says something bad to Archana he feels ekdum agitated and behaves like a child- not wanting to listen to Archana's justification of Shravani 'as a woman.' Do we want to see a child Nikita ? Or a man ? A child like quality in a man is indeed welcome.......but to what degree ? Is sullenly not listening to Archus justifications of Shravni enough from ur POV ? [ I ask this as he is ur fav character and u write FF on him , developing him in ur fiction] . Me , I wud much prefer if he roughly holds Shravni's hand and dislodges it firmly from Archus wrist , fixing her with such a glare that Shravni wud pee in her churidhar .

All that insaaniyat talk is BS, you and I both know he did it for love only. Evidence is not there . Its not just him ....even Archna is doing this to assuage her guilt it seems , of having walked out on him . Both keep saying we do it for humanity or Duty . If they r doing it for love , its high time they come out and say it some place at least in private . Manav has done the insaaniyat thing more than Archu .She has broken down at least 2 or 3 times .........Manav is parrot like about the insaniyat dialogue . What i say is , ok , dont say I love u as it eNCOURAGES her which u feel is wrong when ur breaking off with her .Fine . But then at least keep quiet na .Even that keeping quiet will convey more emotions .........the insaaniyat crap totally blows the emotions away and PUTS US OFF .

Kools, I cannot believe it that you are saying you pity Savita more than Manav.. unbelievable. Yes, I pity savita too, but more than that I hate the creatives for making her a victim in this manner. The person with a large heart is being hated today, and the people are shedding tears for the villain!!!!

This show is clearly ruined now if roles have been reversed to this extent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Frankly speaking I really don't understand why all of you have expectations of Manav returning Archana's affection in ANY form??? Why not ? Isn't he the lead hero ?

Being the person Manav is, he would never allow himself to be bonded to Archana even slightly romantically otherwise she will get false expectations- THIS IS HIS LOVE FOR ARCHU, AND HIS DUTY FOR SHRAVANI COMBINED!!!!!!!!!!!!! We all know that . And that is precisely what has made him BORING . He is 'good' and incredibly 'boring' . Niki if u ask me , his hot looks have been wasted . With his kind of hot looks , iffy teeth , tender voice , rough profession , a little dash of passion wud have driven the girls crazy and raised TRPS . Dont make him a Sunjay Dutt kinda toughie , but scenes cud have been thrown in where HE does Nothing to encourage Archu but circumstances do ..........like Archus hair gets caught in his button and while she furiously tries to dislodge it , he DOES NOTHING TO DISLODGE IT and stares . Unconsciously , He wants It to remain . She notices it and stares at him and they have an eye lock and she then succeeds in getting it off but he still does NOthing . She walks away . and glances back to see HE has turned his back and is standing with both his hands in his pocket . Now Niki .....ur a writer . In this scene ........He does NOTHING .Till the end he does NOTHING . No verbal encouragement and no touching .Yet , it conveys EVERYTHING .It conveys PASSION . Passion is an emotion which is a MUST in lead couples . Or LOVE becomes insipid . Finer , Higher Love can be shown coupled with intensely human passion too niki . I feel that way .

When Archu hugs him, he becomes ekdum emotional. (he loves Archu)
He does not hug her back (Obviously!!!! Why give anyone false expectations I ask you??? Only to satisfy a few fans here on IF??? NO I would like to correct this statement a little if u permit please . The number who wud love to see a lover Manav is far more than those who want to see Insaaniyat Baba . Infact , the ones who prefer him this way only are few . The scriptwriters made tremendous changes in Manavs character from Title song Manav to a Mamas boy . Well , Continue with the change .....but change him positively .Show us that he has feelings of a lover too . Trust me , u will be shocked to see that the number on IF and also out there in the world who welcomes this change is far more than the amount who is happy to see this saint going around giving everyone scooops of Insaaniyat .
This is his concern for Archu, not his indifference to her, that inspite of immensely loving her he holds himself back, thinking he shouldn't give her any encouragement- he has to dissuade her from thinking about him??? This is his CONTROL- in my opinion this is his manliness (now complete manliness would be trying to fight back for his marriage, but CV's wont show us this, so won't get into it. am judging only on what they show)- trying to do the right thing rather than wht you want to do. Have you looked at his expressions every time she hugs him??? Its as if he is making so much effort trying to control himself. That scene when he kept his hand on the shoulder- it was a sign of that only- remember how they showed him hesitating and finally keeping it on her shoulder???. Much as I like passion in romance, I like these finer feelings MORE. And I'm so sad today that a passionate Manav everyone wants who will hug Archu back even if it is wrong for Archu's future and cheating with Shravani- but nobody appreciates this Manav who holds himself back each time although wanting to cry himself out on Archu's shoulder.)What to say , you youngsters r more shareef than us wicked oldies then .😆 Bahut shareef bachche ho , we like seeing this younger generation so spiritual . Jokes aside ..........have explained myself up about DOING NOTHING yet CONVEYING PASSION .This is not Manavs fault ........it is the fault of sciptwriters who lACK imagination and do stereotype serials .

I don't understand what people want??? Divorce Archana- no it is WRONG!!! He made that vow in front of society and Gods.
Divorce Shravani? Never- it is a sin to make a commitment and then leave her alone.
But everyone will feel happy and pity Manav if they see him pulling Archana out and confessing his love or hugging her back and then fulfilling his promise to Shravani!! (Or to take matters ahead, consummating with her) May be coz that will make him more human ? And human beings relate more to human characters ? Grey leads r the best coz they have scope for development . Manav and Archana r WHITE characters , WHITE LEADS . They will always be good and hence predictable . After a certain time they will cease fascinating the viewership as whats new ? We all know how Archu with she Shakkar philosophy will react , and how Manav will react . The Grey Leads .........who change slowly as tracks in the soap proceed [ each track brings a lesson , a story , and also a a change in the thought process and personality of the character ] r far , far more interesting . Even if they make mistakes . The changes in them r such that they go on developing positively with each track as it teaches them something new and redefines them . The creatives have left no development for Manav . There is no scope . In fact , from a shy , hardworking man who allowed himself only one luxury in life .his dream girl , they relegated him to a mama's boy . They did not DEVELOP him , they butchered him , cut him down to size . Manav does not develop as a character at all . He has not grown smarter [ after Ajit episode] , or more bolder [ after Rasika and MS experience] or more practical [ after knowing about garage] or more goal oriented [ focussed on increasing his monetary power as he has now more responsibilities as he is only earning member of family ] . He is SAME . He curls his fists and stands impotently although he has seen fear in Rasika's eyes after being pulled down from MS chair .........[ that experience has not taught him to be bolder or realize his own inner strength and capabilities,] He has DONE NOTHING after that great garage pooja .........we do NOT see him harbouring a goal of making one garage into two .

The hugging Archana shud have been very gradual .......the process of showing his human feelings stirred shud have been very gradual and shown VERY EARLIER . Perhaps from the time she fell from the balcony , where we shud have seen him hugging her tightly in frantic fear with tears in glazed eyes , screaming at all to move back , especially his mom that I WILL ALONE LOOK AFTER HER I NEED NO ONE . [ It was shown , but weakly . Passion was absent.] We find him instead EXPLAINING himself to Shravni that I am doing it merely for INsaaniyat ! Niki , these r the typical moments where Manav fails to touch viewers . It wud have been infinitely better to show a Manav who wud have yelled at Shravni who was trying to tell him its ok with me etc that THIS IS THE LAST THOUGHT ON MY MIND RIGHT NOW , I CANT THINK OF ANYTHING ELSE.............KINDLY LEAVE ME ALONE , I NEED TO GET A GRIP . Later he cud have apologized for yelling , but message is given .Hell , he cares for Archna . A LOT . A broad smile wud have been on our senti viewer face .

Consummation , if at all they intended to show [ which they didnt] shud have been with a drunk Manav . Like GM said , on Holi day or sumthing . [ They used Holi day to show Vandus rape attempt instead] . Many did not want Manav to be drunk during his love making but creatives cud have shown that the drinks bring out his normally repressed self and he TALKS .Boy , he talks and tells ALL about his feelings ! Of how he wants to touch her hair and hold her chin and kiss her oh so gently and how Bappa denied him that basic wish of a hubby ! Of how much he has fought with those feelings ! Does she UNDERSTAND it ? At least a little ? U all think Im the strong , unemotional Manav na ? Well do u guys know what I am REALLY feeling ? This is what Im really feeling ........THIS ! [ here , catching Archu roughly by the shoulders till she winces]

Niki FORGET the actual consummation .Even if creatives had stopped only till the talking point and shown him falling exhausted on the divan after he talking and falling asleep in that drunk state ........NOTHING CHANGES IN MANAV . ........He will go back to his old character the next day , but his talk showed his passion , his feelings ! Archna does not even remind him of his talks , but she KNOWS and secretly hugs it as the world's greatest treasure . We viewers know too . And hell , we LOVE HIM FOR IT ! The sweetu , we say fondly . The lovable dear !

But creatives show a very implausible thing . That as a man ......Manav has literally NO physical urges or passionate feelings towards his own Wife . It is unbelievable . Im not talking of him being a carnal monster here ............just some feelings , mixed with a larger part of his spiritual love .........a conflict in which he always rises above himself and SPIRITUAL LOVE WINS . Is asking this wrong ? And if I say this as a viewer , shud u guys make fun of me saying it seems Kools wants him to Hug her , kiss her on the day before the divorce and walk off to matyrdom while leaving her behind to wallow in suffering ? U guys know me by now........my thoughts r not conventional and I often go against popular opinion , but am i really this shallow ?😊 My only point is .......Suffering toh they r anyways showing only .So why not add some spice ? Anything wrong in my expectation dear ?

even though I am seriously BUGGED out of many things that were in this serial, I have more sympathy for Manav than Savita. The two- three good things that she has done now are hardly enough to cover up on her past mistakes. Even now, she is not trying to rectify her mistakes. She is just covering them up. All these days- she was unmoved by her son's suffering, suddenly she doesn't want the divorce cos she has fallen in love with her DIL! WOOOOWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You said above that Kools I cannot believe that You r sympathizing with Savita over Manav . Niki .........the sympathy for Savita is NOT due to the two or three good things she did at all . It is due to the immense suffering she underwent . She lost a son .........she saw her daughter being married to a rapist ...she saw with her own eyes signs of marital rape . She danced like a prostitute while others watched her . She was physically assulted in jail . Even her Age did not provide a security shield for the lavni dance humiliation or police lock up beating and screaming like cattle do when they r mercilessly driven . Her dialogue ........that never in my life did I think that I wud hate gold this much .....was one of the rare moments of creative brilliance shown in this serial . The change in her was NOT SUDDEN like Manjusha's was , over a trifle .{ just one word .shareef , and Manju changed .so so unbelievable ] . We see her gradually changing .........first , reflecting , observing Archu in a new light , thinking about her past actions , not dismissing her husbands comments anymore but secretly reflecting on them , gradually thawing more and more towards Archu . STILL clinging to the choice of Shravni as a bahu [ still doing a mistake , but what a human mistake it is now ..........for the old lady is making a tough choice .........happinesss of an adult son or a grandchild who will relive her dead son ] and so , she TOUCHES . Manav is what Manav is ........Nice , bas , thats it .As I said , No development , no change .Aisa hi tha , Aisa Hi hai .So ok , We like him . { Ur accusation that I hate him is wrong , no one can hate him as such and now this is on the official record ok .😊} In fact Niki , Whatever choice he makes is due to Savita .He agrees to marry Shravni for Savita , tomorrow he will marry Archna too when Savita tells him Beta , I was WRONG , U now marry Archna . So ultimately Savita will change and get sympathy , Manav will be liked but why will we sympathize with him or feel anything strong about him , u tell me ? This is the mistakes of BT creatives who r wasting Sushaant Rajput .

(I'm sorry if I've hurt anyone, i'm in a frustrated mood right now- all thanks to PR- no one will believe it, but this is my only post in this forum today apart from one PM. I know everyone has their own POV, but somehow today I'm hating the CV's more than ever, and this frustration is NOT cos of ur POV- but to them- wow, Savita is being pitied, Manav is being hated. For never being selfish in life, Manav is being hated. For thinking about Archu's future, Manav is being hated. For thinking about Shravani and sticking to promise, Manav is being hated. I'm so thankful Manav is only a character- if he was a person I would have given him morphine or something and wished him a pleasant death. And then killed the creatives brutally.)

mORAL OF the story: Never watch Ekta's serials, they make you fall in love with characters, cry with them and then make you feel that they would be better off dead!!! (add to that they make you waste your time debating on these useless shows on forums like this.) I hope now I have made it abundantly clear That I do NOT HATE Manav . I cannot hate any character as I watch this show not as an ardent Manav fan or Archu fan either .I watch it as an interesting story and post my views . I am the person who cud not hate Sulochna or even Shravni .So dear , how can I hate Manav ?You only tell me .😊

I didnt understand u the first time aorund...not bcoz u're shallow but bcoz I cant match ur level of thinking as far as details of each scene is concerned.Thanks for explaining it beautifully.
