@ TBizzle and all else:
Ajit escaping relatively unscathed from jail is a sign that worse things are in store for him and his crew. Rasika must be punished too, as also Manju; given Ajit's criminal tendencies he may quite possibly have weathered a couple of sound thwacks with police canes in the past, so that is really not lesson or retribution enough. Freeing him unharmed after a day lets him loose to create more mayhem, incriminate himself further, and incur more serious legal consequences. Kidnap and attempted rape, after all, are much more culpable legally than libel. Wait and watch...... they're going to send him to HELL. 😊
Yes, that was a very sweet last scene, almost nicer than any of the other more exciting things we had all looked forward to. Pretty much the same scene - minus the hesitation, of course - was played out between Varsha and Satish; I'd have liked to see a bit more going on there. Varsha's coming around as her smiles will attest, and we want that bond to grow a little stronger before the Awful Truth is made apparent.
In cinema and definitely in serials gazing down from balconies is traditionally time to reminisce both for the character as well as for viewers, so yes, TB, your instincts are correct. Manav comes to the balcony when he wants to remember things and/or it's always on the balcony that old things come back to him unbidden. Think back to the scene where he's bought flowers for Archana when she's supposed to come to his place and talk about their relationship (and of course disaster follows in the shape of Savita): there he's standing and waiting on the balcony and the flashback takes us to another time when he's also on the balcony and looking down at her as she comes to her new home for the first time as a bride after Sulochana gives in. The creatives do have some things right -however much we take them to task! - and the layering of memories here, both for Manav and Archana remembering, and for us, watching and recalling, definitely works.
